Get your popcorn ready, folks. There are some incredible games on the way later this week in the NBA, but perhaps none are bigger than what’s to come between Golden State and Milwaukee. There are without question two of the best teams in the NBA and they’ve got incredible talent on the floor. However, with the game being played on the East Coast, the Bucks are hoping to take down the Warriors in a massive game this weekend.
Come Saturday night, countless eyes are going to be on this meeting, as both the Warriors and the Bucks are hoping to make a statement. Leading up to this contest, a lot of people are saying that this could be a potential preview of the NBA Finals. Both these teams have taken home the Larry O’Brien Trophy in recent years and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see one of them get the job done again later this year.
Buck vs. Warriors odds | |||
Bucks to win | -110 | -110 | -110 |
Warriors to win | +125 | +125 | +125 |
Over 195 points | -110 | -110 | -110 |
Under 195 points | -110 | -110 | -110 |
With the Bucks, they’re of course led by the outstanding play of Giannis Antetokounmpo, who knows what it takes to lead his team over some incredible squads. On the other bench, the Warriors are led by head coach Steve Kerr, while Steph Curry and Klay Thompson are going to want to shoot lights out against Milwaukee. When those two are able to catch fire, it’s tough for any defense to slow them down.
According to the best-rated sportsbooks, which includes the reliable Bovada review, the Bucks hold -110 NBA betting odds to come away with a close victory. The Warriors aren’t going to be intimidated at all, though, as they’re entering the hardwood with +125 betting odds. We expect this to be a back-and-forth affair, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see either side come out on top. Having said that, we’re going with the Bucks as our pick.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the best players in the NBA
One thing that’s giving Bucks fans a lot of confidence ahead of this one is that Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the best players in the NBA and the stats back that up. Thus far on the season, Antetokounmpo is averaging a head-turning 31.1 points and 11.5 rebounds per night. This is incredible, there’s no doubt about that. In addition, he’s also posting 5.9 assists per ball game, which shows how unselfish he is with the ball in his hands.
Antetokounmpo is still in the prime of his career, which is great to see. In order for Milwaukee to have a strong chance at taking down the mighty Warriors, the Greek Freak is going to have to be at his best. The good news here is that Antetokounmpo has been on a tear of late. More of the same will be needed out of him against Golden State in primetime. With that said, he also called himself out after a recent loss to the Rockets.

“Offense is gonna be there some nights, and, some nights, it’s not going to be there,” Antetokounmpo said while speaking to the press. “Your defensive effort, though, has got to be there. And defensively, our effort was not there. There was no pride. Guys were just driving the ball, straight-line drive, getting to the paint, over-helping, shooting 3s, offensive rebounds. There was nothing. This was not the Milwaukee Bucks. This is not who we are.”
The Bucks have been a bit inconsistent this week, but they have a great chance to take down Golden State. With that said, Antetokounmpo can also boost his NBA MVP odds with a strong showing against such a strong team. He currently holds +600 NBA MVP odds, but again, those numbers could be improved depending on how he does against the Warriors. We can’t wait to see what goes down in this highly-anticipated game.
Bucks hold the third-best odds to win the NBA Finals
With the Bucks at 26-12 on the season and currently holding the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference, it’s important to remember that the Bucks hold the third-best odds to win the NBA Finals. As we mentioned above, this team recently won it all, with Antetokounmpo leading the charge. The hope is that this team can hang on to a high seed for the postseason and then go on an impressive run.
Milwaukee is great on both ends of the floor, which surely has people talking. However, we can’t ignore the fact that out in the Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics are looking like the team to beat. Boston has been spectacular this year and they hold the top NBA Finals betting odds. The expectation is they’re going to keep on playing at a high level for the rest of the regular season.
Then once the postseason arrives, all eyes will be on Boston. They’re struggled in the playoffs in recent years, but people all over Massachusetts think this will be their year to get back to the NBA Finals. With that said, the Bucks are hoping to have a major say in things. If these two teams meet in the Eastern Conference Finals, it will be a sensational series. We’ll see if that happens or not.
