The Kentucky Wildcats were one of the betting favorites for the NCAA Basketball Championship before the season started. They were also the favorite to win the Southeastern at +300. You can now get +5000 on them finishing top of the table in the regular season.
The Wildcats are also losing the faith of the Top 25 voters, who now rank them down at No.22. Their season has been disappointing. Unfortunately for their faithful fans, it shows little chance of getting any better.
Latest betting to win the Southeastern Conference
We already know that the best college basketball betting sites make the Kentucky Wildcats +5000 to win the Southeastern Conference. So who do they make favorites?
Alabama is the answer, with the Crimson Tide now at +120. Hot on the heels of Nate Oats’ team are the Auburn Tigers at +250. In the recent top of the Conference clash between the two sides, the Tigers came out on top, winning 99-81 at the Auburn Arena. This reduced the gap in the table, but Auburn was then beaten 81-65 by Florida last weekend.
South Carolina and Alabama both sit top of the table with Conference records of 9-2, then comes the Auburn Tigers on 8-3. Tennessee is next with a 7-3 record. The Volunteers are third in the betting at +260, with South Carolina at +900, despite the Gamecocks sitting at the top of the table.

Kentucky Wildcats vs. Ole Miss Rebels: Latest Form
In the SEC this season, the Wildcats have a 6-4 record. Their overall record is 16-7, with a home record of 10-4 and an impressive 4-2 on the road.
They’ve somehow contrived to lose their last three home matches at the Rupp Arena.
First, there was a 94-91 overtime loss to the Florida Gators. The Wildcats followed that up by losing 103-92 to the Tennessee Volunteers. Then most recently, the Rupp Arena faithful witnessed an 89-85 loss at the hands of the Gonzaga Bulldogs.

An awful first-half performance saw the hosts finish ten points adrift. But despite an improved second half, they still went down by four points.
The Ole Miss Rebels have an even worse Conference record than Kentucky. The Rebels are 5-5 in the Southeastern. But overall, they are 18-5, with a home record of 13-1 and an away record of 3-4.
They have struggled in recent days, first, losing 91-77 at home to Auburn. And this, after leading by nine points at the halfway stage. They followed that up by losing 68-65 on the road to South Carolina just over one week ago.
Kentucky Wildcats vs. Ole Miss Rebels Betting Picks
If form is the guide here, do we go for a shock win for the Rebels at +280?
The problem with assessing the form is that we have to take the quality of the opposition into account. And although the Wildcats have lost three at home, we do have to look at who the matches were against.
The least worrying was the Tennessee defeat. That can happen. But we would expect the Wildcats to beat Florida and Gonzaga, though.
If the version of the Rebels who played the second half against Auburn turns up in Kentucky, we can see the spread easily being covered. But can they be that bad again? Surely not.
Regardless, Kentucky will have received an almighty dressing down after the Gonzaga loss. Tennessee can be excused. Gonzaga, not so. We feel the Wildcats will win. They simply can’t afford any more mistakes this season. And we are going to show some faith and back the Wildcats to win and cover the spread for our betting pick.
