With the start of the regular season almost here for Major League Baseball teams, people can’t wait to see what countless teams will be able to get done this campaign. It goes without saying, but the Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves are going to have a ton of eyes on them. Having said that, there will be pressure on a lot of players to step up, which is why people love the fact that Ronald Acuña Jr. is the favorite to win 2024 NL MVP.
This isn’t a surprise at all, as Acuña took home the high honor last season. Acuña was without question the best player in the National League this year. The only disappointment for him was the fact that the Braves had a quick exit from the postseason. However, he’s hoping that will be changed this year. It’s not going to be easy for the Braves, but Acuña is going to be ready to do whatever is needed to help this club bring home the pennant again.
NL MVP odds | |||
Acuna to win | +550 | +550 | +550 |
Betts to win | +600 | +600 | +600 |
Ohtani to win | +850 | +850 | +850 |
Harper to win | +1000 | +1000 | +1000 |
Entering the season, there are high hopes for Acuña to repeat as NL MVP. Not only is he a stud with the bat in his hands, but he’s also a monster when it comes to stealing bases. Acuña is also terrific in his right field position. With the way he plays the game, there’s no doubt he’s one of the main faces for the bigs as a whole. Now, people can’t wait to see what he’ll be able to get done moving forward.
According to the best-rated sportsbooks, which includes the reliable Bovada review, Acuña holds +500 MLB betting odds to be named NL MVP. After what he was able to get done in 2023, it won’t be a stunner at all if he’s able to repeat here. However, believe it or not, we’re going in a different direction for who we think will be announced as the winner. For this one, we’re going with someone who is a star for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Mookie Betts is our pick to win 2024 NL MVP
That’s right, Mookie Betts is our pick to win 2024 NL MVP. Betts is right behind Acuña, as he holds +600 MLB betting odds to win MVP. Betts, also a star outfielder, continues to show that he’s one of the best players out there. Ever since he made his way to the Dodgers from the Red Sox, a move that still breaks hearts all over Boston, he has been a man on fire with the bat in his hands. He may not finish with the most homers, but he’s known for delivering timely hits.
That’s going to be the case for this team in 2024, as the Dodgers are hoping to bounce back in a big way this season. Last fall, the Dodgers had the top World Series betting odds and a lot of people thought they’d be able to bring home yet another title. Instead, they suffered a shock exit and had to watch the Texas Rangers celebrate in style after capturing the World Series glory, something not a lot of people saw coming.

This left a sour taste in the mouths of the players, including Betts. Just like Acuña, Betts can get the job done at the plate, in the outfield and while running the bases. Betts has been getting better with each season, which has been a lot of fun to see. Once Opening Day arrives, people all over California will be ready to see what Betts can get done and plenty of wagers will be placed on him winning NL MVP. It will be interesting to see how this battle turns out, but we’re for sure rocking with Betts.
Both Betts and Acuña will be ready to fight for the NL pennant
It goes without saying, but both Betts and Acuña will be ready to fight for the NL pennant. A lot of people are already assuming these two teams will go on to place in the NLCS, which would be an incredible series. Can you imagine if these two teams were to go the full seven games with a trip to the World Series on the line? It’d be absolutely awesome.
The Dodgers, as of this writing, hold the No. 1 World Series betting odds. This is the case after they signed star hitter/pitcher Shohei Ohtani to a record-breaking 10-year, $700 million contract. There is going to be loads of pressure on Ohtani to live up to that contract, but people all over LA are confident that he’ll keep playing like one of the best players out there. Ohtani also has strong MVP odds.
As for Acuña, he and the Braves are in the World Series conversation too. It will be on him and the other studs to live up to the hype, but there’s no reason to believe the NL East side can’t make a ton of noise against the Dodgers if they end up playing in the postseason. We will have to wait and see what happens, but both Atlanta and LA are in great spots leading up to Game 1 of the new year.
