Ohtani heating up?
Coming back from the surgery and fresh off a gambling scandal, Shohei Ohtani went homerless in first eight games with LA after signing a record $700 million free-agent contract in the offseason. The Japanese slugger immediately found himself in another controversy after team officials pressured the fan who caught his first dinger in Dodgers blue into giving up the $100,000 ball.
Ohtani homered for a second-straight game in a 9-7 loss to the Cubs last Friday. He also had two hits and drove in a run in a 8-1 defeat to Chicago on Sunday.
Chris Russo went off on the Dodgers and Shohei Ohtani for their treatment of the fan who caught the star’s first home run ball with the franchise. https://t.co/TdHfgnujrU

Starting pitching matchup
Tyler Glasnow (2-0) is off to a fantastic start with the Dodgers, posting a 3.18 ERA and 0.88 WHIP through three starts. The 30-year-old allowed only one run and two hits while striking out five to notch his first win of the season against the Cardinals. He followed that up with a victory over San Francisco last Wednesday, permitting four hits while ringing up seven Giants on strikes.
Louis Varland (0-1) earned himself a spot in the starting rotation in spring training after only working in relief duties down the stretch last season. In his one start this year versus Milwaukee, he allowed three runs on six hits with two walks in only four innings of work.
Twins vs Dodgers
Minnesota (+150) is still looking for its first win of the year at home while the Dodgers (-165) are 2-2 on the road. If you think Los Angeles can cover the 1.5-run spread, you can get it at +116.
The over/under has been set at 8.5 total runs with -115 juice towards the UNDER. Los Angeles is averaging 5.75 runs per game (7th in the MLB) while the Twinkies are putting up only three runs per contest – tied for third-worst in baseball.

Best Bet
While the Shohei Ohtani signing stole all the headlines, the Tyler Glasnow acquisition may prove just as valuable in returning Los Angeles to World Series glory.
Considering the pitching matchup on Tuesday, we love Dodgers -1.5 runs at +116.
