Quarterfinal matchups
Barcelona (+300) placed second in group B after going 11-0-3 in the group phase, and will face Paris Saint-Germain (+1000) in the quarterfinals. PSG’s 8-1-5 record was good for third in Group A.
Magdeburg (+300) topped group B with a 12-0-2 record. They’ll play fourth-place Industria Kielce (+500), who went 6-4-4 group A in the regular season. This is a rematch of last year’s finals, which saw Magdeburg defeat Kielce 30-29 in extra time to claim the championship.

Two more QF battles
Montpellier (+2500) has the longest odds of capturing the title. After finishing fourth in group B at 7-0-7, the French club matches up with a THW Kiel (+600) team that placed atop group A with a 10-2-2 record.
In the final quarterfinal contest, Aalborg Handbold (+1000) battles Telekom Veszprem HC (+500). Aalborg had an 8-3-3 record in group A while Veszprem finished 10-0-4 in group B, just behind Magdeburg and Barcelona.
Title Favorites
Barcelona (+300) fell to Magdeburg in last year’s semifinals with an agonizing 40-39 penalty shootout loss. The Spaniards have captured the EHF championship a record 11 times and most recently in 2021 and 2022. If he captures his eighth title as a player and coach, Carlos Ortega would move one past his legendary former teammate Andrei Xepkin.
Magdeburg (+300) won its semifinal and finals matchups last year by a combined two points. The German club is looking to become only the second repeat winner of the EHF Champions League since it went to a final-four tournament structure in 2009-10.

Other title contenders
Kielce (+500) faces a tough QF draw against Magdeburg, who they lost the 2023 championship game to in heartbreaking fashion. The Polish squad last claimed the title in 2016.
Kiel (+600) has won three European championships since 2010, with their last one coming in 2020. Listed as a +1500 longshot before the year, the German club surprised oddsmakers with a first-place group A finish.
Best Bet
Veszprem (+500) didn’t miss a beat this year despite Egyptian star Yahia Omar leaving for PSG. While the Hungarian club has lost in the final on four separate occasions, this could be the year they claim their first EHF Championship.
