PFL Betting Odds 2024

Above you’ll see betting odds for PFL — both for near-future bouts and ones planned for end of the year. Ngannou is a big-time favorite to win his UFC debut, and he should be given his track record.

The legendary Cris Cyborg returns to the ring too, however, he fight is a complete toss-up against Pacheco. The age difference is the big thing here as Pacheco is 10 years younger than Cyborg.

Another coin-flip fight is between Rob Wilkinson and Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov. We have no dog in this fight as there are paths to victory for each fighter.

The other two fights are quite lopsided with Rabadanov and Kasanganay expected to trounce their opponents. We would have to agree as it’s a clear mismatch in those respective bouts.

Best PFL Betting Sites 2024

There’s no shortage of sportsbooks to bet PFL fights. In fact, there might be too many options out there. That’s why we’ve gone ahead and hand-picked the five best sites for PFL betting. Here’s our short list:

1. Bovada — the most-trusted PFL betting site
2. XBet — The best mobile PFL betting sportsbook
3. BetOnline — The sportsbook with the most bets for PFL
4. BetUS — The best PFL betting bonuses
5. BetNow — The sportsbook with the most unique promotions for PFL

We should mention all these betting sites are offshore. That’s by design because we think offshore betting sites are better for PFL bets. This is because offshore sites work in more locations (even in states where betting is illegal like California or Texas), they offer more betting markets, and more payment options. Keep reading and we’ll explain ourselves more.

Bovada

You may hear the word offshore and think it’s sketchy. We’re here to tell you it’s not, especially if you’re on Bovada. We started with this popular betting site because they’re well established and even pre-date many popular operators like DraftKings and FanDuel. Trust and believe, this bookmaker can be trusted with your hard-earned money.

More than just that though, Bovada offers a slick and well-rounded betting experience. The platform works blazing fast and it’s easy to pick up right away — a biggie if you’re new to online betting as a whole. We recommend Bovada for its straightforward experience that’s all about betting.

How To Choose The Best PFL Sportsbook For You

If you must ditch our suggestions and pick a sportsbook independently (which is fine, by the way), then allow us to give you some pointers on making the best selection. We got three hard rules we follow here:

Read reviews and read some more: This might seem obvious, but reviews are still one of the most reliable ways to evaluate any brand or product — even beyond betting ones. They offer a pretty clear picture of how a sportsbook performs from people in your shoes. They are mostly unbiased, though, a negative person is more likely to leave feedback than a positive one (that’s just how this goes). Another big thing when analyzing reviews is to look at recent ones. Sites change a lot over the years so reviews made five years ago likely don’t matter anymore.

Prioritize, prioritize, prioritize: What do you care most about, huh? Is it the bonuses? Competitive odds? A smooth mobile app experience? A rewards program? You need to figure this out FIRST. Once you know, seek out the sportsbooks that best do that thing. For instance, if you fancy free play, then it makes sense t scope out BetUS since they excel in this category.

Try multiple out: You don’t need to settle on just one sportsbook right away. Why not “test drive” a few? This approach gives you the best chance to see firsthand if a sportsbook is the right fit for you. Reviews and research is great, but nothing beats experiencing it for yourself. There’s no need to rush this process so “date” a few sportsbooks before settling down with one (or two).

Why We Recommend These Sportsbooks

We didn’t just pick the best PFL betting sites out of a hat. No, no, the top-five came out of meeting a select criteria. Here are the main qualities we graded these sportsbooks on:

  • Betting options: We considered both the quantity and quality of bets, focusing on competitive betting prices. You deserve the best of both worlds!
  • Customer service: Reliable support is crucial. We selected bookmakers known for their dependable customer service so you’re never left hanging.
  • Promotional bonuses: Free bets reduce gambling risks so we prioritized generous promotions in our top picks. We mean, who doesn’t want the best bets PFL has to offer for free?
  • Trust factor: Trust is non-negotiable. Any site with questionable practices was automatically excluded from our list.

What Is PFL?

We don’t put it past anyone to read this far in the article and think to themselves, “what the hell is the PFL anyway?” Look, we’re not naive. We know PFL, short for Profesional Fighters League, isn’t well-known — especially when compared to the UFC betting. But it’s this reason why we felt compelled to write this guide. So let’s backtrack a bit.

PFL season betting

PFL launched in 2018 as an alternative to UFC. In a short span, it’s ascended to being the second-biggest fight promotion around. That became official in November 2024 when PFL bought out Bellator, which still runs show, but it’s all managed by PFL now.

Two big-name fighters have jumped ship to PFL. The first is the aforementioned Ngannou. But the other, more surprising signing is Jake Paul, who’s supposed to eventually debut in MMA.

PFL’s biggest thing is it runs a regular season like a sports league would (e.g. the NFL or NBA). So fighters have to perform well in the regular season to qualify for the postseason. The latter is a single-elimination tournament and determines the champion of the world. It’s unconventional, but that’s by design to differentiate itself from the UFC. Speaking of which, let’s explain the differences between the two promotions.

Key Differences Between PFL Betting And UFC Betting

The way champions are crowned is the biggest difference between the two. As mentioned, PFL picks champions via a season format. Ten fighters are thrown into a weight class and they have to fight their way into the elimination playoffs. The UFC? They use a ranking system to determine who fights who. It’s a less scientific way for matchmaking but it’s certainly not hurting UFC’s popularity.

On top of winning the championship, PFL also awards a $1 million prize to the playoff winner(s). That’s arguably a bigger incentive since PFL salaries aren’t all that huge unless you’re named Ngannou or Paul.

Furthermore, UFC has way more fighters and divisions. There are 12 UFC weight classes — eight in men and eight in women. PFL only has six, five for men and one for women.

Cosmetics wise, UFC is also famous for its octagon that’s right sides. PFL calls their setup a “smart cage” and is 10 sides. That difference doesn’t usually pass the eye test when watching.

How To Read PFL Betting Odds

The first thing you need to know how to do is read PFL betting odds. Without this, you’re very likely to make a mistake when choosing bets. The good thing is this section is your easy guide to PFL betting odds explained.

The best way to learn is via an example. Let’s use the upcoming Ngannou vs. Ferreira fight as an example. When looking at the fights odds, notice who is getting the + and – signs. The minus sign indicates that’s the favored outcome, while underdog is marked with the plus sign.

Is Ngannou -400 to win? That means he’s favored and favored big at that. The -400 number means it would take a $400 wager just to profit $100. That’s a high-risk, low-reward bet that’s probably not worth it.

Now let’s flip it for Ferreira, who could be +300 to win. At these odds, risking $100 on him winning pays out $300 in profit because he’s a sizable underdog.

This is one example but you could follow this with any other PFL bet such as over/under or prop. It all works the same way.

PFL Betting Types

Here’s where PFL and the UFC are the exact same: the bet types. Seriously, how to bet on PFL falls into the same wagering categories as UFC does — no differences at all. There are four bet types so let’s describe each:

Moneyline

The moneyline bet is the most basic and straightforward type of wager in the PFL: it’s simply about picking the winner of the fight. Your only goal is to choose which fighter will come out on top — nothing more, nothing less. Simple in theory, but not always simple in practice because of the unpredictability of fighting.

Over/Under

Another popular option for PFL betting is the over/under on the number of rounds a fight will last. This bet is entirely focused on the duration of the fight rather than who wins. Typically, for a three-round fight (which most PFL fights are contested at, except championship ones), the over/under is set at 1.5 rounds. If the fight ends 40 seconds in the second round, it would be considered an “under” since it concluded before the halfway point (2:30) of the second round.

Props

Prop bets in the PFL offer a wide range of possibilities, making them the most versatile and fun betting market available. A very popular prop bet is on the method of victory, where you not only pick the winner but also predict how they’ll win — knockout, submission, or decision. Since there are multiple possible outcomes, the odds are generally higher and create a bigger payday possibility.

Futures

Futures betting is all about, well, future outcomes. These are not wagers on a matchup in the next fight card. No, they are meant more for end-of-season outcomes like who’s going to win their tournament. The great thing about futures bets is there’s generally a lot of upside since these are far-out predictions. The downside though is your betting money gets tied up for a long time.

Our Top PFL Betting Tips

Ah, yes, PFL betting tips — the reason why you’re probably still reading this article. Alright, this is a tough topic because fighting is so much about the matchups. Because of that, there’s very few “blanket” tips that automatically do all PFL bouts. Still, there’s a few worth mentioning and creating “rules” around right now. Here’s our three:

Styles make fights: We hinted this one already but it’s true, matchups are everything in PFL betting. Every bet you make has to start here. What’s fighter A’s strengths and weaknesses? How about fighter B? Is there any exploit based on that? These are questions you need answers to first THEN you should be betting — not the other way around.

Recent fights matter most: This one’s a biggie. See, fighting is a brutal sport. The person you walked in as a fighter might not be the same as the one who walks out after — especially if you get into an all-out fistfight. That’s why when evaluating fighters, you’re better off weighing their most recent outing than, say, a bout from three years ago. The closest fight will tell you most about where a fighter is trending, whether that’s up or down.

Shop betting lines: This is when you go from sportsbook to sportsbook and see odds for the same fight. PFL isn’t as widely-bet as UFC or NFL. Therefore, it’s easier to find discrepancies in betting odds between bookies. Your job is to find the site that offers the best value for you and bet there — maximizing the potential profit you can attain.

How To Bet On The PFL Championship

Last thing before we let you go: how to actually make PFL betting picks. We need an entire section for this because people think it’s hard. It’s not and here’s the simple, five-step process:

  1. Choose a sportsbook: We already gave you the best sportsbooks so start there when making a choice.
  2. Deposit funds: Sportsbooks offer various payment methods like bank wires, checks, crypto, and debit cards. Pick one to fund your betting account.
  3. Select a PFL bet: Once you’re on the sportsbook, choose a bet. Your task is to find the best value and chances of winning.
  4. Decide your stake: How much are you willing to risk? Whether it’s $10, $100, or $1000, this depends on your budget and risk tolerance.
  5. Place the bet: Confirm your PFL bet and stake on the PFL online sportsbook. Boom — you’re all set. Just cross your fingers now while you wait for the outcome!
