Josh Allen vs Tua Tagovailoa
Josh Allen injured his left, non-throwing hand in a 34-28 win over Arizona, but said it was “fine” in his postgame comments. The 28-year-old put the Bills on his shoulders on Sunday, passing for 232 yards and two TDs while adding 39 yards two scores on the ground. In the first game without Stefon Diggs, rookie pass catcher Keon Coleman recorded four grabs for 51 yards and Khalil Shakir posted a 3-42-1 line.
Tua Tagovailoa passed for 338 yards and a TD in a 10-point comeback victory over the Jaguars. Both Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddell topped 100 receiving yards, and sophomore back Devon Achane made seven receptions for 76 yards and added a rushing score.

Recent history
Miami’s dropped four-straight meetings with the Bills. Buffalo thumped the Dolphins 48-20 in week 4 at Orchard Park and secured its fourth-straight AFC East title with a 21-14 road victory over Mike McDaniel’s club in week 18.
However, this year’s meeting at Hard Rock Stadium is in September, when hot, sticky Florida weather is more likely to play a factor against a cold-weather team like Buffalo.
Miami vs Buffalo
Miami is a 2.5-point home favorite on Thursday with an over/under of 50 points. The Dolphins and Bills finished No. 3 and No. 6 in points per game in 2023. Both clubs sputtered on offense and defense in the first half of week 1 before stifling their opponents. Miami’s defense held Trevor Lawrence to 37 passing yards after halftime and Kyler Murray could only muster four first downs the entire second half against Sean McDermott’s unit.

Best Bet
While the Bills have dominated this rivalry matchup of late, home teams went 11-5 in Thursday night games last season. With Josh Allen potentially nursing a hand injury on a short week on the road, we like the Dolphins (-2.5) to cover on a short week with the UNDER 50 points (-110).
