State Of Washington Gets New Sports Betting App

Contrary to commonly held belief, sports betting in Washington IS legal. However, it’s heavily, heavily restricted.

You can’t just bet anywhere inside the state. No, all gambling has to be done at tribal casinos. This puts the industry in a bind for two reasons. One, many of these casinos are located far from Seattle — where most of these population lives. Two, who wants to physically drive to a sportsbook every single time to bet? In this economy with these prices? No thanks!

But hey, until legalized sports betting is ever expanded in-state — a slim hope right now — that’s what you have to do to legally bet in Washington. On this front, there’s a new sportsbook app that works at one of the popular tribal casinos. Keep reading and we’ll tell you all about it!

Caesars App Launches In A Casino

The Muckleshoot Casino Resort in Auburn, Washington is a popular establishment. Auburn is a suburb that’s only 30 minutes from the heart of Seattle. So this casino is where city slickers flock too. Those city folks will now have the option to use the Caesars Sportsbook app.

The two companies have been in bed with each other so don’t think it’s a brand-new partnership. Caesars has long serviced the sportsbook inside the casino. However, up until this point, it had only been the physical location. Now the mobile app will work too.

But again, by state law, bettors must be physically present at Muckleshoot to register and place their wagers on the Caesars app. Don’t think you’ll be able to use the Caesars app in your home in Seattle or at your favorite pub. Regardless, there’s a convenience factor to having the app if you’re on the Muckleshoot premises.

“The launch of our new mobile betting app represents a significant milestone for Muckleshoot Casino Resort, enhancing our offerings and providing guests with an even more convenient and immersive sports betting experience,” said Tim Perkins, CEO of Muckleshoot Casino Resort, echoed the excitement about the app. “We’re always focused on delivering cutting-edge technology to elevate the excitement for our guests.”

These two have been partners since 2022. This is not long after the state first started taking in bets in September 2021. The app represents another step up in the partnership.

Caesars App Is Solid

The Caesars app is pretty buttoned-up. We won’t say Caesars is on par with the app experience of DraftKings or FanDuel, but it definitely holds up well. With the app, bettors can enjoy real-time scoreboards, live streaming, and secure payouts. There are also daily odds boosts and special promotions to keep things exciting too.

To us, the coolest feature is the in-app live streaming. You can watch NFL games right from the Caesars app. The best part? It’s 100-percent free, as in no streaming or cable subscription is needed. Caesars will allow you to watch all the primetime and locally aired games that week, which will obviously cover Seahawks matchups. Few apps have this feature, and it really helps set Caesars apart in the marketplace.

“The Caesars Sportsbook Muckleshoot app enhances the experience we’ve brought to Muckleshoot guests since the opening of the property’s best-in-class sportsbook in 2022,” said Eric Hession, President of Caesars Digital. “This launch underscores our commitment to offering seamless, innovative gaming options with the largest array of markets, including Same Game Parlays and live NFL games streaming in the app. We are thrilled to offer this new level of convenience and fun to the passionate sports fans in the Pacific Northwest.”

Don’t forget about the on-site sportsbook though. Bettors can still get a Vegas-style experience at the physical sportsbook that features over 20 large-screen TVs, a massive video wall, and a live sports ticker. Bets can be made at the windows with bookies, kiosks, and now, the mobile app.

Washington Sports Pick Up This Football Season

Washington vs. Washington State

If there’s ever a time to head to Muckleshoot to bet in person, it’s now — especially for Washington bettors. That’s because the NCAAF and NFL football betting season just begun, and local teams are looking pretty darn good.

Of course, there’s the Seahawks of the NFL. They are embarking on a new era without Pete Carroll. So far, so good as the Hawks are 3-0 and atop the NFC West. After a pair of close wins, Seattle just blew the doors off of Miami so momentum and excitement is at a fever pitch. Surely, that will translate to betting too.

In the college football world, both the state’s programs — Washington and Washington State — already met. The Cougars upset the Huskies 25-19. It’s interesting because Washington State was left for dead when the Pac-12 collapsed (because teams like Washington bolted to the Big 10). Cougars are currently division-less but won against the bigger program anyway.

One last thing we’ll leave you with: if you want to bet these teams (or others) online, and save on the gas money going to Muckleshoot, offshore betting sites are your best bet. These work perfectly fine no matter where in the state you are. We suggest starting with the bookies mentioned below!
