Russell Wilson’s return
While talking heads on TV and Twitter didn’t like Mike Tomlin sending Justin Fields to the bench, Russell Wilson proved up to the task in a 37-15 victory over the Jets. The 35-year-old passed for 264 yards, finding George Pickens for 111 yards and a score, and found the endzone three times. Najee Harris also had success on the ground, running for 102 yards and a TD.
Pittsburgh’s defense picked Aaron Rodgers off twice in the win, limiting New York to just 16 points. The Steelers have the NFL’s #2 ranked scoring defense, holding opponents to 14.4 points per game.

Giants embarrassed at home
This offseason, Giants owner John Mara said he would have a “hard time sleeping” if Saquon Barkley went to the Eagles in free agency. In Week 7, he was forced to watch his former franchise player run for 176 yards and a TD in MetLife Stadium. Following the embarrassing 28-3 defeat at home, Mara gave a vote of confidence to coach Brian Daboll and GM Joe Schoen.
But make no mistake – Big Blue is in trouble without its starting left tackle Andrew Thomas. Daniel Jones was sacked seven times in last Sunday’s loss, completing only 14 passes for 99 yards.
Pittsburgh vs New York
Pittsburgh is a 6.5-point home favorite on Monday Night Football and the over/under is set at 36.5-points, the lowest total of the Week 8 slate. In addition to owning the NFL’s No. 2 scoring defense, Mike Tomlin’s team ranks third against the run, limiting opponents to 81 rush yards per game.
New York has a bottom-ten run defense, allowing 138.1 yards per contest. However, they’re No. 6 against the pass, holding opponents to 179.4 yards per game. While Russell Wilson lit it up last week, he could come down to earth against a Giants defense averaging a league-best 4.4 sacks per game.

Best Bet
It’s difficult to see Daniel Jones mustering many points against T.J. Watt and the Steelers. But, New York’s underrated defense could also make life miserable for Russell Wilson. We’ll take the Giants’ to cover (+6.5) with the UNDER 36.5 in an ugly Monday night affair.
