- Philadelphia (11-2) is a 4.5-point home favorite over the Steelers (10-3) in Week 15
- Russell Wilson has a 6-1 record since taking the reins as Pittsburgh’s starting quarterback
- Sunday’s battle of Pennsylvania kicks off from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA at 4:25 pm ET
Philadelphia tied a franchise record with its ninth straight win thanks to an endzone drop by Panthers rookie receiver Xavier Legette on Sunday. The Eagles will now host a Steelers squad coming off their 10th victory of the season, and 21st consecutive regular-season home win over the Browns.
With a combined 21-5 record between the two teams, Week 15’s Battle of Pennsylvania could also double as a potential Super Bowl preview. Before we look at the game odds, check out the top betting sites for NFL football and the Best Super Bowl 59 Betting Sites 2024.

Philly survives a scare
Saquon Barkley ran for 124 yards in a 22-16 win over Carolina on Sunday. With four games to go, he’s already secured the most single-season rushing yards in franchise history (1,623). But the rest of the offense was stuck in mud. Jalen Hurts passed for only 108 yards, albeit with 2 touchdowns, failing to target AJ Brown until the end of the second quarter.
Despite their 11-2 record, Philadelphia has been shut out in the first quarter in 10 of their 13 games this season. The Eagles only escaped with a Week 14 victory because rookie receiver Xavier Legette dropped the would-be go-ahead touchdown with 44 seconds remaining.

Pittsburgh gets revenge
After losing to Cleveland just two weeks ago, Pittsburgh returned the favor with a 27-14 win over its division rivals on Sunday. The Steelers defense forced three turnovers, adding to it’s league-leading takeaway total, and pressured Jameis Winston 16 times.
Russell Wilson passed for 158 yards and 2 TDs and Najee Harris added 53 yards and a score on the ground. However, George Pickens missed the game with a hamstring injury and is not expected to be available against the Eagles in Week 15.
Philadelphia vs Pittsburgh
Philadelphia is a 4.5-point home favorite at Lincoln Financial Field and the over/under is set at 43.5 points. Both these teams rank top five in scoring defense, with the Eagles limiting opponents to 18 points per game versus 18.3 for the Steelers. Pittsburgh is #4 in rushing yards allowed per game, setting up a fascinating matchup with Saquon Barkey, who leads the NFL with 1,623 rushing yards.
Vic Fangio’s defense is also top ten in rushing yards allowed and #2 versus the pass, limiting opponents to 178.5 yards per game. Mike Tomlin’s club is vulnerable through the air, but the Jalen Hurts-led offense is averaging the second-fewest passing yards per game in the NFL (180.6).

Best Bet
This year’s Battle of Pennsylvania profiles as a low-scoring defensive slugfest. We like the UNDER 43.5 with a Steelers cover (+4.5).
