Chicago circling the drain
Darkness has befallen the Windy City after another ugly offensive performance. Caleb Williams completed 16 of 30 passes for 120 scoreless yards in a 19-3 loss to New England. Chicago’s No. 1 overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft was outdueled by the No. 3 pick, Drake Maye, just two weeks after losing to the Commanders and No. 2 overall pick Jayden Daniels.
Boos rained down on Soldier Field during Sunday’s punt-fest. The Bears managed just one drive longer than 21 yards as their NFL-best eight-game home win streak came to a halt. Williams has already been sacked 38 times this season, the second-most for a rookie QB at this stage of the year since 1970.

Packers fresh off a bye week
Jordan Love failed to throw a touchdown pass and tossed a devastating pick-six in a lopsided 24-14 loss to Detroit in Week 9. However, Love’s groin injury should be fully healed after the bye week.
Love carried on Aaron Rodgers’ long history of dominance against the Bears in 2023, winning both games against his NFC North rivals. The 26-year-old passed for 245 yards and 3 TDs in a 38-20 win last September, and threw for 316 yards and 2 TDs in a 17-9 victory in January.
Chicago vs Green Bay
Chicago is a 6.5-point home underdog at Soldier Field, where they’re 4-1 this season, and the over/under is set at 41 points. Matt LaFleur’s squad falls just within the top-ten in scoring offense, averaging 25.6 points per game, while the Bears are bottom-ten at 19.4 PPG.
