- Houston (6-4) is a 7.5-point road favorite over the Dallas Cowboys (3-6) in Week 11
- Dak Prescott will undergo season-ending surgery on his injured hamstring
- Monday Night Football kicks off from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX at 8:15 pm ET
Usually, playing at home is a good thing – but the Cowboys have trailed by 20 or more points in their last five home games at AT&T Stadium. Their latest beatdown came courtesy of the division-rival Eagles on Sunday, who scored 27 unanswered points in a 34-6 victory. Dallas will now host a Houston Texans team that blew a 23-7 lead to Detroit on Sunday Night Football.

No hope for Dallas?
With Dak Prescott out for the rest of the year with a hamstring injury, Cooper Rush managed just 45 passing yards in Sunday’s 34-6 defeat to Philadelphia. Rush almost threw a touchdown in the second quarter, but CeeDee Lamb couldn’t see the ball thanks to the sun coming through the windows at AT&T Stadium.
Micah Parsons returned from a four-game absence to record two sacks in the Week 10 loss. However, Dallas’ defense allowed the Eagles to score on all four second-half possessions (TD, TD, FG, FG) and run up the score. With no defense, no QB and no running game to speak of, the Cowboys are devoid of hope with six remaining games against clubs in the playoff hunt or not far out.

Texans blow it
Houston is fresh off blowing a 16-point halftime lead to Detroit on Sunday Night Football. The turning point came when C.J. Stroud was late getting the ball to Tank Dell in the endzone in the third quarter. Instead of going up 30-13, the second-year quarterback’s second interception of the game gave the Lions life.
Stroud completed just 39% of his passes for 68 yards in the second half, opening the door for Dan Campbell’s team to pull off the improbable 26-23 comeback win. Luckily, the loss shouldn’t hurt the Texans too much as they have a two-game lead on the Colts in the AFC South.
Dallas vs Houston
Dallas is a 7.5-point home underdog on Monday Night Football and the over/under is set at just 42 points. Both clubs are outside the top 15 in points scored with Houston averaging 22.4 points per game and the Cowboys at 19.7 PPG. While DeMeco Ryans’ defense is about middle of the pack in points allowed (22.6), Mike Zimmer’s D is permitting the second-most PPG (28.8) in the NFL.
Joe Mixon has seven rushing scores this season and his 93.6 yards-per-game average ranks third in the league. The 28-year-old should feast against a 31st-ranked defense allowing more than 150 rushing yards per contest.

Best Bet
C.J. Stroud and the Texans should be motivated to put last Sunday night’s loss behind them and, well, Mike McCarthy’s team has absolutely no hope and no answers. We’ll take Houston to cover (-7.5) on the road with the OVER 42.
