Daboll’s time running out
Can Giants owner John Mara take back the ‘vote of confidence’ he gave Brian Daboll last month? Big Blue has dropped seven games in a row following its 27-20 loss to the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. Drew Lock fared no better than Daniel Jones or Tommy DeVito, passing for 178 yards, no touchdowns and an interception in the defeat. Making matters even worse, defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence is out for the year after dislocating his elbow against Dallas.
New York’s rookie class provides some optimism. Malik Nabers made eight receptions for 69 yards in Week 13 and Tyrone Tracy had 65 scrimmage yards and a TD. Theo Johnson also made five grabs for 54 yards, but he’s now out for the season with a foot injury.
#Giants potential defensive player of the year Dexter Lawrence, who suffered a dislocated elbow in the loss to the #Cowboys, is expected to miss the rest of the season, with Brian Daboll saying it’s “long-term.”

Saints slide back
New Orleans was 2-0 under interim coach (and self-admitted toilet clogger) Darren Rizzi following the firing of Dennis Allen. However, their winning streak ended with a 21-14 loss to the Rams on Sunday.
Derek Carr passed for only 184 yards and a TD in the defeat, and their jack-of-all-trades weapon Taysom Hill suffered a season-ending knee injury. At 4-8, the Saints are two games behind the Buccaneers and Falcons in the NFC South and likely heading towards a multi-year rebuild.
New York vs New Orleans
New Orleans is a 5-point road favorite at MetLife Stadium and the over/under of 39.5 points is the lowest game total on the Week 14 slate. New York is averaging the fewest points per game (15.3) in the NFL – which is not a good look for an ‘offensive guru’ like Daboll.
Both these clubs have horrific run defenses. The Giants allow 145.8 rushing yards per game (29th in NFL) and the Saints permit 136 RYPG (26th). Darren Rizzi’s team also allows the fourth-most passing yards (249.1) per contest.
Future Hall of Famer and the heart of this Saints offense. Prayers up for Taysom Hill. 🙏 pic.twitter.com/4cx7i0dfOA

Best Bet
Alvin Kamara ran for 112 yards on 23 carries in Sunday’s loss versus the Rams. The 29-year-old is seventh in the NFL in rushing yards (894) with a cupcake matchup with the Giants on tap.
While New York is coming off 10 days rest, it’s simply impossible to back a team that’s circling the drain. Take New Orleans to cover (-5.0) with the OVER 39.5 points.
