The Wildcats are the No.5 ranked team and one of the betting favorites to win the competitive Southeastern Conference.
The Raiders are currently struggling and no longer the betting favorites to win the Patriot League, despite finishing in the No.1 position last season.
In short, there isn’t much chance of a competitive match. There is no money line at the time of writing, and there probably won’t be.

Kentucky Wildcats
In the latest AP Top 25 basketball poll, the Kentucky Wildcats dropped one place from No.4 to No.5.
The Wildcats started the season at No.23, so things are going well for last season’s SEC No.2 team.
Kentucky is coached by Mark Pope, who is in his first season after taking over from the legendary John Calipari, who left at the end of the last campaign. A period of transition is still ongoing. But so far, things are going well for Pope and his new coaching setup.
The season started with two routine wins over Wright State (103-62) and Bucknell (100-72).
Then came the first real test, a meeting with the Duke Blue Devils at the Champions Classic in Atlanta.
The Wildcats (then No.19) defeated the Blue Devils (then No.6) 77-72. The 5-point win was huge for Pope.
That victory was followed by wins over Lipscomb (97-68), Jackson State (108-59), Western Kentucky (87-68), and Georgia State (105-76).
The second big challenge came away at Clemson. This time the Wildcats weren’t up to the task, going down 70-66 at the Littlejohn Coliseum last week. That was a setback.
But good teams respond to setbacks, and that’s exactly what Kentucky did on Saturday. The Wildcats had to come back from an 18-point second-half deficit against Gonzaga. Somehow they managed to win 90-89 in overtime.
Kentucky is the +1000 fourth-favorite to win the SEC regular season. They are +450 to make the Final Four and +1800 to win the 2025 National Championship.
Colgate Raiders
Despite their poor start to the season, the Colgate Raiders are +500 to win the Patriot League regular season. That makes them the third favorites, they are behind the American Eagles (+300) and the Lehigh Mountain Hawks (+450).
The Raiders went out in the first round of the NCAA Tournament last season. It was the fourth successive year head coach Matt Langel got the Raiders to the end-of-season championship. But now in his 14th season with the Raiders, Langel is still yet to make it to the second stage.
Langel has led the Raiders to the No.1 position in the Patriot Conference for the past six seasons. So their poor start to this year’s campaign has been a bit of a surprise.
The Raiders started with a 95-62 win over SUNY Canton. But that was followed by a four-match losing skid. The rot was stopped with a 13-point win over UNCW, but that win has been followed by a further four defeats, leaving the Raiders with a 2-8 record.
Kentucky Wildcats vs. Colgate Raiders Betting Picks
The Wildcats are 6-0 at home, the Raiders are 1-5 on the road. It’s obviously going to be a home win, the only question is will Kentucky cover the spread?
The Wildcats have defeated Georgia State by 29 points, Jackson State by 49, and Lipscomb by 29 in recent weeks. They are all big winning margins.
But 30.5 is a lot to cover. Furthermore, the Wildcats are coming off the back of two hard matches. So we can see them perhaps being a touch leggy against the Raiders and are backing Colgate to win with the spread for our pick.
