Stafford dealing
Matthew Stafford connected early and often with both of his star receivers in a 28-22 win over New England on Sunday. Puka Nacua made seven receptions for 123 yards, including an incredible diving touchdown grab in the second quarter. Cooper Kupp made a 69-yard catch and run and finished with 106 yards and two TDs.
Defensive Rookie of the Year favorite Jared Verse was also buzzing, generating a team-leading five pressures. Los Angeles’ young defense pressured Drake Maye on almost half his snaps and picked him off late to seal the victory.

Eagles soaring high
Jalen Hurts ran in his 11th rushing touchdown of the season in Thursday night’s 26-18 win over Washington. Nine of those scores have come in the past five games. Hurts was also effective through the air versus the Commanders, connecting on 14 of his final 18 passes for 174 yards.
Even with Hurts getting all those tush-push TDs, Saquon Barkley is still crushing it in his first season in Philadelphia. After scampering for a pair of 23-yard and 39-yard scores in Week 11, Barkley leads the NFL with 1,347 scrimmage yards. He also has 10 combined TDs.
Los Angeles vs Philadelphia
Los Angeles is a 3-point home underdog at SoFi Stadium, where they are 3-2 this year, and the over/under is set at 50.5 points. Philadelphia has the 7th-highest scoring offense in the NFL (25.9 PPG) thanks to the league’s No. 1 rushing attack (181.3YPG). Sean McVay’s scoring offense rank No. 21 (21.3 PPG), but they have the 7th-most passing yards per game (240.6) despite missing Kupp and Nacua for a big chunk of the season.
Vic Fangio’s defense is limiting opponents to just 17.9 PPG (7th in NFL) and 99.9 rushing yards per game (7th). Cornerbacks Darius Slay and rookie Quinyon Mitchell also have the Eagles No. 2 in pass defense, allowing only 173.2 passing yards per game.

Best Bet
Locked in a four-team battle for the NFC West, the Rams should be the far more desperate team on Sunday night. However, the Eagles defense will be a tough matchup for an LA offense that has had far too many slow starts in 2024.
We’ll take Hurts and the Eagles to cover the points (-3) with the UNDER 50.5.
