Philadelphia buried Baltimore on Sunday for its eighth consecutive win. Trying to chase down Detroit for the top seed in the NFC, the Eagles will now host a Carolina Panthers team coming off a tight overtime loss to the Buccaneers.

Philly wins 8th straight
Saquon Barkley rushed for 107 yards in Sunday’s 24-19 victory over the Ravens, highlighted by a 25-yard touchdown scamper in the fourth quarter. Barkley leads the NFL with 1,766 all-purpose yards, and his 13 TDs are second only to Derrick Henry (15).
The Eagles defense shutdown Baltimore’s offense in the second half, limiting them to two missed Justin Tucker field goal attempts before allowing a TD score in garbage time. At 10-2, Nick Sirianni’s squad has an excellent shot at the No. 1 seed in the NFC. Only two of their remaining five games are against playoff-caliber teams (Steelers, Commanders) and they’ll likely be favored in both.

Bryce getting better
Bryce Young is coming off perhaps the best performance of his career, throwing for 298 yards and a TD and rushing for another score in a 26-23 loss to Tampa Bay. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft led a go-ahead touchdown drive with 30 seconds left before the Panthers defense allowed the Bucs to tie the game with a late field goal.
While they’re only 3-9, it’s been a successful season under first-year head coach Dave Canales due to the growth of Young under center. In the first half of Sunday’s game, he passed for 186 yards – the most of any half in his career.
Philadelphia vs Carolina
Philadelphia is a 12.5-point road favorite at Lincoln Financial Field and the over/under of 45.5 points. In their first year under offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, the Eagles have the NFL’s #7 scoring offense, averaging 26.7 points per game versus Carolina’s 18.1 PPG (4th-worst).
Saquon Barkley leads the league with 1,499 rushing yards, pacing the NFL’s top rushing attack. The Panthers also happen to have the league’s worst defense against the run, allowing 166.8 rushing yards per game.

Best Bet
While this one sets up as a bloodbath on paper, the Panthers have won games against the Saints and the Giants in the past month and played both the Chiefs and Buccaneers tight over the past two weeks.
Coming off a big win over the Ravens with a matchup against Pittsburgh looming next week, Philadelphia is primed for a letdown. We’ll take Carolina to cover (+12.5) with the UNDER 45.5, but the Eagles will still fly to their ninth-straight win (-625).
