Following their 30-17 loss in Green Bay on Thanksgiving night, the Dolphins desperately need to string together wins to have any chance at the postseason. Meanwhile, the Jets coughed up a 21-7 lead over the Seahawks on Sunday to fall to six games under .500.

Rodgers tosses game away
Up 21-7 against Seattle, the Jets looked poised to add to their lead in the second quarter. However, Aaron Rodgers missed Garrett Wilson for an easy touchdown before throwing a 92-yard pick-six to defensive tackle Leonard Williams on the very next play. It was the longest interception return TD by a 300-pound player in NFL history.
Rodgers’ 38.9% completion percentage on passes of 10+ air yards this season is the fifth-lowest in the league. At 3-9, New York currently holds the No. 6 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and is headed for another franchise reset.

Dolphins go down at Lambeau
Miami’s three-game win streak came to a screeching halt at Lambeau Field. The Dolphins missed 20 tackles and fell into a 27-3 hole in Green Bay before losing 30-17. Tua Tagovailoa passed for 365 yards and 2 touchdowns in defeat, connecting with Jonnu Smith for 10 receptions for 113 yards and Tyreek Hill for 83 yards and a score. De’Von Achane also added 56 receiving yards and a TD.
At 5-7, Mike McDaniel’s team is a longshot to make the postseason. However, a victory over their AFC East rivals this Sunday would give them a chance. A Week 15 matchup against the Texans is the only remaining game on their schedule against a playoff team.

Miami is a 6.5-point home favorite at Hard Rock Stadium with the over/under set at 45 points. Both these clubs rank bottom-10 in scoring offense, however, the Dolphins have averaged 27 PPG in six games since Tagovailoa’s return. That would rank them #7 in the NFL.
