Daniels upsets Detroit
Jayden Daniels passed for 299 yards and 2 TDs with 51 rushing yards in Saturday night’s 45-31 upset of the Lions. While the electric rookie evaded the blitz and played turnover-free football, Dan Quinn’s defense forced Detroit’s high-powered offense into four turnovers.
Washington split the season with the Eagles, falling 26-18 on Nov. 14 before rebounding with a 36-33 victory on Dec. 22 in a game where Jalen Hurts sustained a concussion. In the two contests, Daniels combined for 449 passing yards, 6 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. While he was held to 7 carries for 18 yards in the loss, the LSU product exploded for 81 yards on nine totes in the win.

Saquon and Carter dominate
Saquon Barkley ran for 205 yards in 28-22 win over the Los Angeles Rams, busting off touchdown runs of 62 and 78 yards. However, aside from a 44-yard TD scamper on Philadelphia’s first drive, Jalen Hurts struggled for most of the afternoon. The Eagles QB passed for only 128 yards and was sacked seven times while injuring his right knee.
Luckily, Jalen Carter came to the rescue. The big defensive tackle had five tackles, two sacks, three QB hits and a forced fumble on Sunday. With the Rams driving to take the lead in the fourth-quarter, Carter sacked Matthew Stafford on third down to secure the victory.
Philadelphia vs Washington
Philadelphia is a 5.5-point home favorite at Lincoln Financial Field, where they are 10-1 in the regular season and playoffs combined, and the over/under is set at 48 points. The Eagles limited opponents to 17.6 PPG in the regular season (No. 1 in the NFL), but both the Packers and Rams ran the ball well against them in the playoffs.
Washington had the third-worst run defense in the NFL this season and allowed Jahmyr Gibbs to rush for 105 yards and 2 TDs on just 14 carries on Saturday. Barkley piled up 296 rushing yards and 4 TDs against the Commander in two meetings this season.

Best Bet
Jayden Daniels and the Commanders beat up on a bad Lions defense in the divisional round. But Vic Fangio will make the rookie’s life much tougher in the elements on Sunday.
While we like Washington to cover (+5.5) with the UNDER 48, the Eagles will ride Saquon to another win (-260) and advance to their second Super Bowl in three years.
