Allen passed for 272 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 31-7 beatdown of Denver, and Jackson threw for 175 yards and 2 TDs with another 81 yards on the ground in a 28-14 shelling of the Steelers.

NFL MVP showdown
Lamar Jackson is favored to win his third NFL MVP award after setting new career-highs with 4,172 passing yards and 41 passing touchdowns with only 4 interceptions. Both numbers best Josh Allen, who threw for 3,731 yards and 28 TDs with 6 INTs. Buffalo’s franchise QB ran for 12 scores versus Lamar’s 4, but Jackson has 915 yards on the ground while Allen ran for 531.
Allen led his club to a 12-5 record, one more win than the 11-6 Ravens, with what many would call a worse supporting cast. The Bills also racked up victories over the top two teams in the NFL, the Chiefs and Lions, while Lamar fell short against both the Chiefs and Eagles.

King Henry’s impact
Derrick Henry ran for 186 yards and 2 TDs in a 28-14 win over Pittsburgh on Wild Card Weekend while forcing 12 missed tackles. King Henry has been a revelation as a Raven, finishing 2nd in the NFL in rushing yards (1,921) and tied for 1st in rushing touchdowns (16). That last number was matched by Jahmyr Gibbs and his opponent on Sunday, James Cook.
After rushing for only four touchdowns combined in his first two seasons, Cook found the endzone 16 times in 2024 while topping 1,000 yards for the second-straight year. The third-year back had 120 rushing yards and a TD in a 31-7 beatdown of the Broncos last Sunday.
Buffalo vs Baltimore
Buffalo is a 1-point home underdog at Highmark Stadium, where they are a perfect 8-0 this season, and the over/under is set at 51.5 points. The Bills and Ravens are #2 and #3 in scoring this season, both averaging over 30 points per game. Todd Monken’s offense finished #1 in rushing (193.8 YPG) and #8 in passing (233.3) while Joe Brady’s unit was #9 in both rushing (135.6) and passing (229.8).
Both clubs allowed opponents to score 20.8 points per game this year (T-8th), however, the Ravens D improved as the season rolled on while Buffalo’s declined. Baltimore is #1 against the run. The question is if Sean McDermott’s club can stop Jackson and Henry on the ground now that All-Pro linebacker Matt Milano is back from injury.
