Winnipeg Jets

The Winnipeg Jets have an 8-2-0 record in their last ten matches. They are averaging 3.9 goals per game while giving up 2.1 goals per game.

The Jets are also on a six-match winning streak with victories coming against the Avalanche (3-2 OT), Utah (5-2), the Flames (5-2), the Canadiens (4-1), the Bruins (6-2), and most recently, the Capitals (5-4 OT).

Josh Morrissey scored his second goal of the game at 1:57 of overtime to secure the win over Washington.

The excellent form of late has resulted in Winnipeg opening an eight-point lead over the Dallas Stars at the top of the Central Division. The Jets have 77 points from 52 matches, but the caveat is that Dallas does have two games in hand.

As a result of their lead at the top of the table, the Jets are -200 to win the Central Division in the regular season. The Stars are Winnipeg’s closest rivals at +180.

The Jets are +475 third-favorites in the betting to win the Western Conference and +1200 to win the Stanley Cup.

Following the match against the Hurricanes, the Jets will host the Islanders on Friday night.

Carolina Hurricanes

The Carolina Hurricanes are 6-2-2 over their last ten matches. Over the sequence of fixtures, Rod Brind’Amour’s team has scored an average of 3.1 goals per game and conceded 2.5 goals.

Carolina had a four-match winning streak ended by an overtime goal against the Islanders on January 25th. The 2006 Stanley Cup winners bounced back with wins over the Rangers (4-0) and the Blackhawks (3-2). But that two-match winning run was brought to an end by a 4-2 defeat at home to the LA Kings on Saturday.

The Hurricanes sit second in the Metropolitan Division with 68 points from 53 matches. They are seven points behind the Washington Capitals, who lead the way with 75 points. Carolina has also played one game more than Washington.

As a result, Carolina is the +210 second favorite to win the Metropolitan Division. The Washington Capitals are the favorites at -294.

Despite being behind Washington in the betting to win their division, the Hurricanes lead the way in the odds to win the Eastern Conference.

Carolina is a +290 betting favorite to win the conference and a +650 second favorite to win the 2025 Stanley Cup.

After they have faced the Jets, Carolina will face the Wild in Minnesota on Thursday night.

Jets vs. Hurricanes Betting Picks and Predictions

Along with winning their last six, the Jets boast a 20-5-3 record at the Canada Life Center. The Hurricanes are 12-11-3 on the road. On home ice, Rod Brind’Amour’s team has an outstanding record of 20-6-1. It’s clear Carolina prefers playing at the Lenovo Center.

Our first pick is for over 5.5 goals. Both teams have averaged over three goals a game in their last ten matches. The opposition both teams have faced in these matches might not have been as strong as it could have been, but across the same sequence of matches, both teams have conceded more than two goals per match on average.
