The Auburn Tigers are 9-1 in their last ten matches. The Tigers’ one defeat was on February 8th, against the Florida Gators.
Florida produced a great team performance to win by nine points at The Jungle. The 90-81 win ended Auburn’s 14-match winning streak.
Auburn defeated the Georgia Bulldogs 82-70 at the Neville Arena last weekend. It was their fourth win in a row and 25th of what is developing into a very successful season.
The Tigers are now -1100 to win the SEC. Bruce Pearl’s team are also odds-on to reach the Final Four at -130 and are the +350 betting favorites to win the National Championship.
On Monday they retained their No.1 ranking for a seventh straight week. Following the clash with Ole Miss, the Tigers will travel to Lexington on Saturday to face the Kentucky Wildcats.
Ole Miss Rebels
The Ole Miss Rebels are 4-6 in their last ten matches. Their form has been mixed.
There have been highs like the ten-point win over Alabama and the 14-point win over Kentucky. But the Rebels have also suffered a lot of close defeats like their three-point loss to MS State and their one-point defeat at home to Texas A&M.
Head coach Chris Beard can’t be too despondent, though. His team had a 7-11 SEC record in 2023/24, he has already improved on that.
The Rebels are on a two-match losing skid. A 10-point home defeat in the big one against the MS State Bulldogs ended a three-match winning streak that included wins over Kentucky, LSU, and South Carolina.
The Bulldogs were too strong for Chris Beard’s team, beating them 81-71 at the Pavilion.

Following that setback, the Rebels came up short against Vanderbilt in their next match, losing by five points at the Memorial Gym.
Ole Miss never recovered from a first half that saw them eight points behind at the halfway stage. A better second period followed, but Beard’s team ended up on the wrong end of a 77-72 scoreline against the Commodores.
It was hardly the ideal preparation for a match against No.1 Auburn.
Worse news followed on Monday, as the Rebels dropped out of the AP Top 25 poll after 13 weeks.
Ole Miss is +2200 to reach the final four and +9000 to win the NCAA Championship.
Following their match with the Tigers, Ole Miss will return to the Pavilion to face Oklahoma on Saturday.
