The 2024 Call of Duty Stage 4 Major takes place this week in Burbank, California. The CDL Major 4 event features 12 of the best Call of Duty teams. The event has a total prize pool of $375,000. The winner takes home $150,000. In addition, the runner-up pockets $90,000, while third place earns $60,000, and fourth place gets $30,000.
CDL Major 4 is the fourth and final Call of Duty regular event scheduled for 2024. In addition to the prize money involved in the tournament, the 12 participating teams will be vying for CDL Points. Those points will help them qualify for the CDL Championship 2024 event. That tournament takes place between July 18-21 at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas.
The 12 teams participating in the CDL Major 4 event are: Atlanta FaZe, Optic Texas, Toronto Ultra, New York Subliners, Los Angeles Thieves, Las Vegas Legion, Minnesota ROKKR, Carolina Royal Ravens, Boston Breach, Miami Heretics, Seattle Surge, and Los Angeles Guerrillas. Last year, the New York Subliners won the $1 million prize for taking home the 2023 Call of Duty Championship.

Atlanta FaZe
The Atlanta FaZe finished in third place in the Call of Duty Championship Final in 2023 falling to the eventual champions, the New York Subliners 3-1 in the Elimination Finals. This year the FaZe enter Stage 4 as the No. 1 team in the CDL points standings with 485 points, 35 points more than the second-place Toronto Ultra.
Atlanta were the runner-up to the Ultra in the first major of 2024. The team then won Major 2, defeating Texas Optic 3-1 in the Final. The FaZe then placed third at the Major 3 tournament.
The FaZe open Round 1 of the Stage 4 Major against the New York Subliners, who are the defending Champions. New York is in fourth place in points with 295.
Optic Texas
Optic Texas finished outside the top four at the 2023 Championship, placing in 5th-6th with the Boston Breach. After that event, the team picked up two new members, Pred and Kenny. Those moves paid off, as Optic is now in third place in the CDL points standings with 415 points, which puts them 35 points behind the second-place Toronto Ultra, but 120 points ahead of the fourth place New York Subliners.
Optic Texas placed third in the Stage 1 Major, second in the Stage 2 Major, and then defeated the Toronto Ultra in the Grand Finals of the Stage 3 Major. The small incremental improvements Optic Texas has made throughout 2024 make them a threat to win the Stage 4 Major. However, the team struggled in the Major 4 qualifier, going 1-6 and finishing in 12th place out of 12 teams, which puts them in the Elimination Round to start the event, which could make things difficult for Optic Texas in Burbank.
Toronto Ultra
The No. 2 team in the CDL points standings, the Toronto Ultra, are the No. 1 seed in this event after winning the recent qualifier for the tournament. Toronto was the No. 2 team at the 2023 CDL Championship, losing 5-0 to the New York Subliners in the Grand Final of that event.
2024 has been a good year for the Toronto club. They placed first in the Stage 1 Major and finished runner-up in the Stage 3 Major. Toronto was the No. 4 team in the Stage 2 Major.
Envoy, who joined the team in July of last year, is the only player on the club who did not compete with Toronto during the 2023 CDL events.
