This year the FaZe were the top team in the CDL regular season points standings with 590 points. The club finished as the runner-up to the Toronto Ultra in the Major I, won the Major 2, lost to Toronto in finals Major 3, and won Major 4. The team then stumbled in the recent playoffs, finishing in 5th-6th place.

OpTic Gaming
Optic Texas finished outside the top four at the 2023 Championship, placing in 5th-6th with the Boston Breach. After that event, the team picked up two new members, Pred and Kenny. Those moves paid off, and Optic placed third in the Stage 1 Major, second in the Stage 2 Major, and then defeated the Toronto Ultra in the Grand Finals of the Stage 3 Major. However, the club rebounded in the Playoffs, taking first place and winning $800,000.
For this event, Optic Texas is playing as its parent team, Optic Gaming.
Optic is in Group A with Carolina Royal Ravens, Las Vegas Legion, and OMIT Brooklyn.
