The Dota 2 Riyadh Masters 2024 event takes place this month as part of the massive Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Riyadh Masters 2024 features 20 of the best Dota 2 teams in the world competing at the Boulevard Riyadh City in an event that features a total prize pool of $5 million. The winning team takes home $1.5 million and 1,000 Esports World Cup Club Points. The team finishing in the runner-up position pockets $800,000 and 600 Club Points.
The format for the Riyadh Masters 2024 event sees the top eight teams from the EPT Leaderboard seeded in the Group Stage. Meanwhile, the 12 teams from the regional qualifiers compete in the Play-In Stage. The Play-In is two groups of six teams competing in a single-elimination round-robin format in best-of-two-matchups. The top three teams from the Play-In Stage move on to the Group Stage, which is two groups of eight teams. The format is the same as the Play-In Stage. The top four clubs from each group then move to the Playoff Stage, which is a double-elimination bracket. All matches in the Playoff Stage are best-of-three, except for the Grand Final, which is best-of-five.
Last year, Team Spirit won the Riyadh Masters 2023 event, which had a prize pool of $15 million. Team Spirit earned $5 million, while the runner-up club, Team Liquid, took home $2.5 million.

Team Falcons
Team Falcons, who play out of Saudi Arabia are the top team on the EPT Leaderboard with 18,280 points. The team announced a new roster in late 2023, and that lineup remains intact at this time. Since refreshing the club, Team Falcons have been a dominant force, winning the following events: Pinnacle: 25 Year Anniversary Show, BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, DreamLeague Season 22, ESL One Birmingham 2024, and DreamLeague Season 23. The team’s most recent outing was its victory in DreamLeague Season 23, where they defeated Gaimin Gladiators 3-0 in the Grand Final. Team Falcons didn’t lose a single matchup during the Playoff Stage of that event.
The only events Team Falcons have not won in 2024 were Elite League Season 1, where they lost to Xtreme Gaming in the Grand Finals, and PGL Wallachia Season, where they placed third, falling to eventual champions Xtreme Gaming in the Upper Bracket Final.
