The 2024 Rocket League Championship Series ends this week with the World Championship event at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. Sixteen of the top Rocket League teams from around the world compete in the event. The prize pool for the championship is $1,165,500, with the winning team taking home $300,000. The runner-up squad pockets $150,000. Last year, Team Vitality took first place, earning $600,000. They beat Team BDS in the grand final by a score of 4-0. Team BDS had won the 2021-22 world championship.
RLCS 2024 marks the 13th season of the Rocket League Championship Series.

Team BDS
Team BDS have performed well in this event over the last few years, winning in 2021-22 and finishing as the runner-up squad in 2022-23. This year, the Swiss team are the betting favorites to finish the world championship in the top spot. Team BDS are coming off a win at the Esports World Cup in August. They also won The Unofficial 2v2 Major in July. Between those two events, the club finished in 5th-8th place at the Major 2: London event, which is the same place they finished in the Major 1: Copenhagen event.
The current roster for Team BDS has been together since late 2023.
Team Falcons
Competing out of Saudi Arabia, Team Falcons placed 5th-8th in the Rocket League World Championship in 2022-23, which is the same spot they were in at the end of the 2021-22 event. Expectations are much higher for the squad heading into the 2024 edition of the world championship.
Team Falcons has been playing well since June. They won the Saudi eLeague 2024 – Major 2 Final, followed that with a runner-up spot in the RLCS 2024 Major 2: London, and then finished in second in the recent Esports World Cup.
Team Falcons have been plying as a team since December 2023.
G2 Stride
G2 Stride finished in second place at the 2022 World Championship. The club then fell to 5th-8th in the 2022-23 World Championship. That’s when Daniel and BeastMode, who both came aboard in December 2023, joined G2 Stride from Version1. The club saw improvements with that roster, finishing as the runner-up at the RLCS 2024 – Major 1: Copenhagen tournament in March of this year. The North American squad then won the RLCS 2024 – Major 2: London in June. Most recently G2 Stride placed 3rd-4th at the Esports World Cup 2024.
G2 Stride are playing well as a unit and should be a team to consider when wagering on the 2024 world championship.
