Team Spirit
The winners of the DreamLeague Season 22: Eastern Europe Closed Qualifier, Team Spirit progressively improved in 2023. The team, which plays out of Russia placed 9th-10th at DreamLeague Season 19, and fifth at DreamLeague Season 20 before winning DreamLeague Season 21. Team Spirit also finished first at Riyadh Masters 2023 and won at The International 2023. The squad stumbled at the recent BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 event, placing 5th-6th in that February 2024 tournament, falling to Azure Ray.
Despite their recent finish, Team Spirit is the betting favorite heading into the Group Stage of DreamLeague 22. The team’s roster has been playing as a unit since December 2022, with most of the club being together since 2020.
Gaimin Gladiators
One of four direct invites to DreamLeague Season 22, Gaimin Gladiators, play out of Europe. The team played well in 2023, winning DreamLeague Season 19 and DreamLeague Season 20 before finishing fourth at Riyadh Masters 2023 and placing second to Team Spirit at The International 2023. However, they had some ups and downs in 2023, placing 7th-8th at DreamLeague Season 21. In their most recent tournament, Gaimin Gladiators finished in 5th-6th place at BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, losing to Team Liquid in that event.
The roster for Gaimin Gladiators has been together since late 2022.
Team Falcons
Team Falcons qualified for DreamLeague Season 22 by winning the MENA Qualifier in January. They then went on to pull off an upset victory at BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, beating out some of the bigger names in Dota 2 competition. The squad downed Team Liquid 3-0 in the Grand Final of that event. Team Falcons’ victory over Team Liquid came after Team Liquid finished in second place at Riyadh Masters 2023.
This team is relatively new to major Dota 2 events, but with how they played at BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, they can’t be overlooked heading into DreamLeague Season 22 competition. The roster of Team Falcons has been together since November 2023.
