Curling fans need not worry as a major competition is coming up in less than four weeks. Yes, the 2025 World Women’s Curling Championship starts March 15th in South Korea. Last year, Canada won the crown in Sydney, Nova Scotia with teamwork and a little dramatics. It was the first World Women’s Championship held in Nova Scotia. Canada topped the ladder, followed by Switzerland, South Korea, and Italy. What do the World Women’s Curling Bets have in store?

World Women’s Curling Bets Favorite: Canada (+200)
Team Canada came up with a number of clutch and top-notch performances. This includes several members of Canada getting Tournament All-Star honors. That included Second Emma Miskew and Fourth Rachel Homan. The final round game against Switzerland was an instant classic. Homan led the squad to victory in a 7-5 climatic battle with the Swiss. For Team Canada, Sarah Wilkes was brilliant. People forget that Canada, ended the Swiss streak earlier in the tournament.
Winning the Finale was icing on the cake for Canada. However, the team is now the hunted. For all the talk of records, percentages, and advanced stats, Canada is a long way from home for one. Another problem may be can they overcome the crowds of South Korea. For a team so stacked with experience, the world women’s curling bets are not so certain of the favorites here.
Repeating is not easy and the Swiss did that three times. With how competitive the women are, that is a difficult feat to say the least. Canada did not go undefeated and were tested heavily by not just the Swiss. However, their ability to thrive in knockout stages gives them the slight nod in the numbers.
The No. 2 Contender: Switzerland (+275)
Switzerland nearly defeated the Canadians in the final round of last year’s competition even though their metrics were better in the match. Carole Howald helped lead the Swiss with the best defense In the round-robin portion of play, Switzerland won 10 of their 12 matches in that time allowing a tournament-best defensive mark of 44 points. Prior to the tournament, Switzerland was top of the class but is now the No. 2 team in the World Curling Federation rankings behind Canada.
Other than losing to Canada in team competition last year, Switzerland also fell to Scotland, but no one else could best the Swiss. Yes, it is odd to say that Switzerland has less of a chance than usual. However, teams have gotten much closer. Canada bested them last year and arguably South Korea or even Italy might in the knockouts this time around. Even BetUS and a few other sportsbooks have indicated some movement is possible between now and mid-March.
When it comes to the World Women’s Curling Bets, Switzerland remains a constant threat. The only problem may be can they get out of the semifinal round. Now, that may be far more difficult.
