Will the Guardians stay hot at home on Tuesday? Before we look at the latest odds, here’s where you can find our best MLB betting sites and our 2024 World Series betting guide.

Cleveland’s crushing it
Coming off a three-game sweep of the rival Twins, Cleveland has won six of its past seven games heading into their inter-league series with the Mets. Among American League clubs, the Guardians trail only the Yankees in runs scored thanks to hitting .296 with runners in scoring position (4th-best in MLB). Their bullpen’s 2.95 ERA is also tied with the Yankees for tops in baseball.
Josh Naylor leads Cleveland in home runs (12) and Jose Ramirez is heating up. The 31-year-old third baseman has driven in eight RBI’s during the team’s current 5-1 streak.

Not New York’s year
The Mets slumped to 3-7 in their last 10 after closer Edwin Diaz blew three-straight leads. Shortstop Francisco Lindor was hitting just .197 going into the three-game set with his former club. However, he does have a .306 career average at Progressive Field.
As a collective, Carlos Mendoza’s club hits much better outside of the Big Apple. New York has the second-best average in the majors (.267) through 22 road games compared to a pathetic .207 average in 24 home contests.
Guardians vs Mets
Cleveland is -120 on the money line while the Mets are even money (+100) to pick up the victory at Progressive Field. With a 11-11 record on the road, New York is a better visiting club than they are at home (10-14) in 2024. They’re at +160 to cover the -1.5 run line on Tuesday. The Guardians are 15-6 at home this season. Stephen Vogt’s squad is -190 to cover the +1.5 spread.
The over/under has been set at 9.5 total runs. Cleveland’s 4.85 runs per game is sixth-best in the MLB. They’re also limiting opponents to just 3.6 runs per contest (4th-best). Meanwhile, the Mets are outside the top 15 in both categories.

Pitching matchup
Adrian Houser (0-3) has seen most of his action as a reliever this season. But with the Mets playing 13 games in 13 days, Carlos Mendoza is trying to give his starters some rest.
Carlos Carrasco (2-4) faces his former team after allowing two runs and five hits in a loss to the Rangers last Wednesday. The 37-year-old vet has an ugly 5.16 ERA this season, but has strung together three quality starts in a row.
Best Bet
With the miserable Mets choosing to go with a spot starter, expect the Guardians to take advantage. We like Cleveland to win (-120) and cover +1.5 (-190) at home on Tuesday with the OVER 9.5 runs (+105).
