Tommy Kahnle hasn’t allowed a run in six appearances, Luke Weaver has 12 strikeouts in eight appearances, and Tim Hill has emerged as a high-leverage reliever who could potentially neutralize Los Angeles’ left-handed hitters, particularly Shohei Ohtani.
There’s also a possibility of getting starting pitcher Nestor Cortes, who missed the first two rounds of the playoffs with a flexor strain, to join the bullpen for the World Series.

Their injuries have undeniably had a significant impact. It’s difficult to imagine how different the Dodgers’ path would have been if Tyler Glasnow, Gavin Stone, Clayton Kershaw, Dustin May, or any of their other injured starting pitchers had been available during this postseason.
