Hoskins returns home
Recently activated from the disabled list, Rhys Hoskins has a .223 average with nine home runs and 27 RBIs this year. The former Phillies first baseman missed all of 2023 with a left ACL tear after smashing 30 home runs in 2022. Expect the Philly faithful to give the 31-year-old a warm welcome home after he spent his first six seasons with the club.
Philadelphia took two of three games from the Cardinals over the weekend after suffering back-to-back series losses to the Rockies and Giants. After a blistering start to the campaign, Rob Thompson’s team is just 5-5 in their last 10 games.

Milwaukee controls NL Central
Milwaukee is coming off a three-game sweep of the White Sox, who have dropped 11 straight games. The Brewers have won a season-high five in a row and eight of their last 10.
With both catcher William Contreras and shortstop Willy Adames in the midst of career years, Pat Murphy’s club is now seven games ahead of St. Louis in the NL Central. That’s the biggest division lead in baseball.
Philadelphia vs Milwaukee
Philadelphia is -202 on the money line while the Brewers are +183 to pick up the victory at Citizens Bank Park. With a 18-13 record on the road heading into the series, Milwaukee is -115 to cover the +1.5 run line on Tuesday. The Phillies are 24-9 at home this season. Rob Thompson’s squad is -105 to cover the -1.5 spread.
The over/under has been set at 8 total runs. Philadelphia (5.22) and Milwaukee (5.15) are the top two teams in the MLB in run scored per game. The Phillies are also No. 3 in opponent runs allowed per game (3.57), while the Brewers rank just inside the top ten (4.08).

Colin Rea (4-2) allowed one run on five hits over 5.1 innings in his last outing versus the Cubs. The 33-year-old has held opponents to two runs or fewer in back-to-back games after permitting 12 runs in his previous three starts.
Cristopher Sanchez (3-3) has limited the opposition to two or fewer runs in eight of 11 outings in 2024. The 27-year-old lefty struck out seven Giants his last time out, earning his third victory of the campaign.
Best Bet
The Brewers are coming off three-straight series wins while the Phillies have stumbled against two of the worst teams in baseball over the past few weeks. We’ll take Milwaukee (+183) to pick up the road win on Tuesday with the OVER 8 runs (-115).
