This Sunday the NASCAR Cup Series is in Texas for the Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400. Kyle Larson is the betting favorite. But with Denny Hamlin and William Byron in good form, Larson will need to be at his best to win his second race of the season. In our latest NASCAR betting picks we tell you who will win and the best bets to place on the action.
- What: Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400
- Where: Texas Motor Speedway, Fort Worth, Texas
- When: Sunday, April 14th, 2024
- Time: 3 pm ET
- Laps: 267
- Distance: 400.5 Miles
The Autotrader EchoPark race from Fort Worth is Round 9 of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series. Fort Worth is a quad-oval circuit at 1.5 miles long.
In the 2023 race, the average speed at this circuit was 123.569 mph. William Byron was the eventual winner. Ross Chastain was second, and Bubba Wallace was third. Wallace was in pole position for the race and also led for 112 laps.
This weekend, the race looks good for Hendricks Motorsports again, and in particular, Kyle Larson. Oval-shaped tracks suit Larson, and he is a very short-priced favorite to prove that point at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday.
Who are the in-form NASCAR drivers?
William Byron won the Spring Race at Martinsville last weekend, giving the Hendricks Motorsport driver his third victory this season. Byron’s win also means that he and Denny Hamlin have shared the last four races.

Elsewhere, Kyle Larson is now the new leader of the Cup Series standing. His second-place finish at Martinsville saw him replace Martin Truex Jr. at the top of the points table. Truex Jr. could only manage a disappointing 18th place as the Hendricks’ team locked the three podium positions.
Before we look at the betting to win the Autotrader EchoPark 400, let’s first see if Larson’s ascent to the top of the points table has convinced the bookmakers he is the man to beat in the 2024 championship.
Betting to win the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Championship
In the latest NASCAR futures betting, the current favorite to be the NASCAR Cup Series Championship winner for 2024 is William Byron at +450. The Hendrick Motorsports driver has seen his odds cut from +500 following his third win of the season last Sunday at Martinsville.
Behind Byron, there has been little change. Kyle Larson remains second favorite at +550, and Denny Hamlin is still +600. Christopher Bell has seen his odds slightly drift from +700 to +750, and Martin Truex Jr has also slightly drifted from +800 to +850. Defending champion Ryan Blaney has been trimmed from +1100 to +1000.
Betting to win the 2024 Autotrader EchoPark 400
After Denny Hamlin went off as a short-priced +400 betting favorite to win the Cook Out 400 from Martinsville Speedway last week, we have another conservative betting favorite again this weekend.
Kyle Larson is the +400 favorite to win the Autotrader EchoPark 400. Larson leads the field ahead of Hamlin and William Byron, who are +650, with Tyler Reddick close behind on +700.
Larson won here in 2021 and has been in good form lately, and dare we say, is beginning to look like the driver who dominated the field in 2021. The top bookies for NASCAR racing think he suits this circuit, and with him also sitting at the top of the Cup Series points table, Larson is an obvious betting favorite.
Hamlin and Byron have both started the season strongly. Hamlin has two wins, and Byron has three. As for Tyler Reddick, he won here in 2022. And despite not getting going in 2024, the bookmakers still see him as a threat in Texas.

2024 Autotrader EchoPark 400 Betting Picks and Predictions
First up, we are not against backing Kyle Larson to win on Sunday. But at +400, we are giving him a miss and instead focusing on what we believe are better value bets. So for our first pick, we are looking at Larson’s better value teammate.
William Byron +700
Byron has finished in the top 11 in his last five outings in Texas. During those races, he has led for 135 laps. He also won here in the fourth race of the 2023 playoff series.
Throw in his recent good form, and William Byron at +700, is our first betting pick to win the 2024 Autotrader EchoPark 400.
Joey Logano +2000
How is Joey Logano +2000 to win in Texas? He’s had five top-5 finishes in his last eight races here. And he was runner-up here in 2022.
Logano has no wins this season and only one top-5 finish. So we can see why the bookmakers are cold on him. But he has to be worth a small wager at such good odds. He is a two-time Cup Series champion. He hasn’t become a bad driver overnight.
Joey Logano to win the Autotrader EchoPark is our final betting pick.
