Oddsmakers are very much on board for the ride with Kyle Larson in the NASCAR South Point 400, but that shouldn’t be surprising. He’s the +300 favorite to win this race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
When it comes to Sin City, Larson is in lock step with Elvis Presley. His mantra is Viva, Las Vegas. Larson has won the last two races around this track.

Denny Hamlin is the second betting choice in the South Point 400 at +750. The drivers will cover 400.5 miles over the 267 laps of this race, with stages of 80, 85 and 102 laps.
Entering this race, the NASCAR Cup playoff field has been whittled down from 12 to eight drivers. After three more races, the playoff grouping will be shortened to just four drivers for the final race of the season at Phoenix on November 10.

NASCAR South Point 400 Winner Betting
Larson’s dominance around Las Vegas Motor Speedway is evident in his back-to-back wins around this 1.5-mile oval. But his success story there runs much deeper. Since 2017, his average finish at Las Vegas is 4.4.
Since 2022, he’s never finished worse than second in a race at Las Vegas, with three wins and an average finish of 1.5. He led 181 laps and won all three stages of the race while winning last year’s South Point 400.
Hamlin won this race in 2021. However, he hasn’t been on top of his game in quite some time. The driver of the No. 11 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing has gone winless over the past 21 races. It’s been 10 races since he finished a race among the top three.
Bell won the pole position for this race last year. He would finish second. But he was a distant 33rd in the Las Vegas race earlier this year. Over the past five races at Las Vegas, Bell’s average finishing position is 5.7.
Larson’s teammate William Byron, driver of the No. 24 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsport, won three of the first eight races this season. He’s winless since, but lately, is doing everything but win. In the past three races, Byron was second in Kansas, third at Talledega and third in Charlotte. He won the spring race at Las Vegas in 2023.
Top South Point 400 Prop Bets
Coinciding no doubt with Larson’s history of success at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Chevrolet is the even-money favorite to be the winning manufacturer in NASCAR South Point 400 prop betting.
Larson is given the best odds (-300) to be among the NASCAR final four drivers. You’ll get a -210 betting line on Bell being among the final four. However, Byron is only at even money to survive the cut.
Chevrolet (winning manufacturer) and Hendrick Motorsports (winning race team) are both favorites to take the championship in separate NASCAR prop wagers.
Best Bets To Win 2024 NASCAR Cup Series
Larson and Bell are 1-2 in the NASCAR Cup Series points standings with four races to go. They are also the +300 co-favorites to win the series championship. To say they’ve taken divergent paths to get to this point is a master of understatement.
Larson has won a NASCAR Cup Series-leading six races during 2024. Bell, meanwhile, is steady as he goes. He’s been a top-10 finisher in 20 races this season, more than any other driver. Larson previously was NASCAR Cup Series champion in 2021. Bell has never won the season title.
Still in search of his first NASCAR Cup title, Hamlin garnered the most points (263) of any driver in the last stage of the playoffs. He’s a distant sixth in the standings, though, so he’s still got some climbing to do over these next three races. Only Larson (1614) has led more laps this season than Hamlin (918).
South Point 400 Winner Betting Picks and Predictions
Without a doubt, the outcome of the South Point 400 is going to go through Larson.
The driver of the No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro is not only the ultimate success story around Las Vegas Motor Speedway, he’s arriving to The Strip oozing with confidence following his win at last week’s NASCAR Cup Series stop, the Charlotte Roval.
Bet against Larson at your own peril.
