The Chicago Bulls struggled to keep pace with the Phoenix Suns, falling 121-117 on their home court. Josh Giddey led the Bulls with an impressive performance, scoring 24 points along with 10 assists and eight rebounds.

This loss marks their sixth consecutive defeat. Despite being 13 games below .500 with a record of 22-35, the Bulls still find themselves in the play-in race.

The Suns started slowly, missing their first seven shots and recording only 29.2% shooting in the first quarter.

Game Preview (Bulls vs. 76ers)

Chicago capitalized on this sluggish start, taking a 10-point lead thanks to a buzzer-beating floater from Tre Jones.

However, Phoenix rebounded in the second quarter, shooting 16 of 21 from the floor and entering halftime with a two-point lead. From that point on, the Bulls were unable to reclaim the advantage. Rookie Matas Buzelis contributed with 15 points.

Giddey notched his second consecutive double-double and the 17th of the season, finishing just two rebounds shy of a triple-double.

Following the trade of Zach LaVine to the Kings, Giddey has stepped up as the focal point of the Bulls’ offense.

He’s averaging 19.1 points on 48.1% shooting (including 48.8% from three on 5.4 attempts per game) along with 7.1 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.0 blocks over 31.4 minutes per game since the start of February.

The 76ers were back at full strength on Saturday night but fell short again, losing 105-103 at home to the Brooklyn Nets.

With All-Stars Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey in the starting lineup, the team struggled to find their rhythm for most of the game and trailed until the fourth quarter.

Embiid managed to score only 14 points and sat out the entire final period after seeming to tweak his left knee late in the third. He struggled throughout the game, missing all six of his three-point attempts.

George continued to face difficulties from beyond the arc, failing to surpass 20 points for the eighth consecutive game.

During this rough patch, he’s averaged 11.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.8 three-pointers, with a shooting percentage of just 31.8 from downtown.

While he has contributed with an average of 1.9 steals per game to somewhat alleviate the scoring issues, the 76ers urgently need him to break out offensively.

As a team, they missed 21 three-pointers against the Nets, looking disorganized as they head into the next matchup. Take the Sixers and lay the points in this one.

Under 228.5-110-110-110

This matchup features two of the NBA’s weaker defensive teams, with both sitting in the bottom 10 for defensive rating.

Neither squad has shown the ability to maintain consistent defense as the season progresses.

The Bulls play at a fast pace, ranking third in tempo, but this approach hasn’t translated into many victories. Like the 76ers, they are currently battling for a play-in spot in the Eastern Conference.

Notably, the total has exceeded the mark in four of Philadelphia’s last five games against Central Division opponents. Expect a high-scoring affair as both teams struggle defensively, so taking the over is a solid play here.

Neither of these teams play the best defense, I’d take the Over in this one.
