BYU Cougars betting breakdown
The BYU Cougars have received a big boost this year thanks to the play of junior quarterback Jake Retzlaff. Last year, Retzlaff had a PFF grade of 48.3 last season, this year he is at 82.8. Retzlaff excels when he has time and space. When the defense does not blitz the BYU offense, Retzlaff has one of the best passing grades in the nation. However, when he is blitzed, Retzlaff drops to 117th in the country. Overall, Retzlaff has 2,283 yards passing with 19 touchdowns. He has thrown eight interceptions and been sacked 14 times. His average pass is 7.9 yards. The offensive line must give him the time he needs if they want to have success against Arizona State. One positive is that Arizona State has one of the worst pass rushes in college football.
The BYU rushing defense is in the middle of the pack for the season, but they are coming off a game last week where they held Kansas to 73 yards rushing on 33 attempts.

The senior averages 5.4 yards per carry and 119.3 yards per game, which is third in the conference. Skattebo is also a strong receiver with 31 receptions for 448 yards and two touchdowns.
