Josh Allen’s MVP run
Josh Allen became the first quarterback in the NFL history to score touchdowns running, passing and receiving in a single game in Buffalo’s 35-10 beatdown of San Francisco on Sunday night. With Lamar Jackson and the Ravens losing earlier in the day, the Bills franchise QB is now the heavy favorite (-275) to win his first NFL MVP award.
Sean McDermott’s defense also limited the Niners to just 239 total yards, repeatedly stuffing them on third down. With seven straight wins, including a Week 12 victory over Kansas City, the Bills are eyeing the No. 1 seed in the AFC. However, they’d need to run the table over the final five weeks, combined with a Chiefs loss.
Khalil Shakir…I too would pick up a shield and sword and go to battle if Josh Allen told me to.

Rams remain in NFC West race
After being shut out in the first half of a regular-season game for the first time under Sean McVay, the Rams rebounded with three second-half touchdowns in a 21-14 win over New Orleans. Los Angeles has only scored two first-quarter TDs all season, however, they were 3-for-3 in the red zone versus the Saints. Matthew Stafford will need to bring that same energy against Buffalo on Sunday as they can’t afford a slow start.
Defensive Rookie of the Year frontrunner Jared Verse generated seven quarterback pressures in the Week 13 win. Leading all rookies with 58 total pressures and 4.5 sacks this season, the defensive end will be key to slowing down Josh Allen.
Los Angeles vs Buffalo
Los Angeles is a 4.5-point home underdog at SoFi Stadium on Sunday with the over/under set at 49 points. Buffalo has the NFL’s second-highest scoring offense (29.6 points per game) after topping 30 points in six straight games. The Rams haven’t been their explosive selves on offense this season, ranking 20th with 21.1 PPG, but Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua and Kyren Williams are healthy for the stretch run.
The Rams are vulnerable on the ground, allowing the fifth-most rushing yards per game (144.2). That bodes well for both James Cook and rookie Ray Davis. Cook carried the ball 14 times for 107 yards and a TD against the 49ers and Davis added 63 yards and a score on 11 totes.
According to @pfref, QB Matthew Stafford orchestrated his 47th game-winning drive vs. New Orleans. He passed Matt Ryan (46) and tied Dan Marino (47) for the fifth-most game-winning drives in NFL history. pic.twitter.com/kUdJRhyTEW

Best Bet
With the NFC West division title still in their sights, the Rams should be the more desperate team on Sunday night. But, the Bills have been an unbeatable juggernaut of late, and it’s questionable whether McVay’s squad can match points with Josh Allen.
We’ll take Buffalo to cover (-4.5) with the UNDER 49 points.
