Kansas City blocked the Broncos’ would-be game-winning field-goal attempt as time expired on Sunday to extend the Chiefs undefeated season. Buffalo wins 5th straight
Josh Allen tossed two picks in Sunday’s 30-20 win over the Colts, but came alive in crunch time while adding 50 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Buffalo’s franchise quarterback is 3-3 all-time versus the Chiefs, including 3-1 head-to-head in the regular season, but 0-2 against Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs.
In their latest meeting this past January, the Bills fell 27-24 to Kansas City in the AFC divisional round. However, Steve Spagnuolo’s defense had no answers for Allen, who passed for 185 yards and a TD and ran for 72 yards and two scores.

Chiefs offense still struggling
There was a glimmer of hope for the Chiefs offense after Patrick Mahomes passed for 291 yards and 3 TDs in a 30-24 overtime win over the Buccaneers last Monday night. But, they looked pedestrian in Sunday’s 16-14 victory over Denver, slowly moving down the field with boring, methodical drives.
Once again, KC’s defense came to the rescue, holding the Broncos’ offense to 68 scoreless yards in the second half. Of the Chiefs’ nine victories this year, seven have been one-possession wins.
Buffalo vs Kansas City
Buffalo is a 2.5-point home favorite at Orchard Park this Sunday with the over/under set at 45.5 points. The Bills have a top-three scoring offense in the NFL, averaging 29 points per game. As ugly as it’s looked at times, Andy Reid’s offense ranks No. 11 at 24.3 PPG.
Both teams are top-ten in scoring defense. Kansas City is No. 3 versus the run, limiting opponents to 83.2 yards per game, while Sean McDermott’s defense is more middle-of-the-pack after allowing Jonathan Taylor to rumble for 114 yards on Sunday.

Key matchups
Travis Kelce went for 75 yards and two TDs in last year’s AFC divisional round matchup. He also seems to be heating up with 32 receptions for 254 yards and two scores in his last three games this season.
Meanwhile, with rookie receiver Keon Coleman a certainty to miss this Sunday’s contest, the Bills will hope to get back Amari Cooper, who missed the past two games with a wrist injury.
Best Bet
While it’s hard to resist picking an undefeated team as an underdog, we’ll take the Bills to resume their regular season success against the Chiefs. Take Buffalo (-2.5) and the OVER 45.5 points.
