- Arizona (2-4) is a 2.5-point home underdog against the LA Chargers (3-2) in Week 7
- Justin Herbert passed for a season-high 237 yards and a TD against Denver last Sunday
- Monday Night Football kicks off from State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ at 9:00 pm ET
While Jim Harbaugh left Sunday’s win over the Broncos momentarily with an irregular heartbeat, his team is running smooth with a 3-2 record. Coming off his best passing performance of the season, Justin Herbert will square off with Kyler Murray and the Cardinals in the second game of the Monday Night Football double header.

Cardinals vs Chargers
Spread | Money Line | Total Points | |
Los Angeles Chargers | -2.5 (-110) | -135 | Ov 44.5 (-105) |
Arizona Cardinals | +2.5 (-110) | +115 | Un 44.5 (-115) |
Familiar formula
Jim Harbaugh’s calling card has always been a strong running game and a stout defense. He got both in the Chargers’ 23-16 victory over Denver. LA’s defense generated 25 QB pressures on Sunday, shutting out the Broncos for the first three quarters of the game.
J.K. Dobbins rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown, continuing his comeback season. Justin Herbert by no means aired it out (237 yards, TD), but it was the first time this year he’s exceeded 180 passing yards. More importantly, he looked healthy after the bye week and led the Bolts to scoring drives on their first four possessions.
Justin Herbert is getting healthier, and as he mends, the #Chargers offense’s long-term outlook is looking increasingly optimistic.
“Hopefully this reminds everybody that Justin Herbert’s really good at playing quarterback,” Jim Harbaugh said. https://t.co/gDCl7CzY4x

Cardinals offense struggles
While the Chargers jumped out to a 20-0 lead in Week 6, Arizona put themselves in a 24-0 hole against the Packers. They then lost fumbles on each of their final three possessions of the game before falling 34-13. Kyler Murray passed for only 214 yards and a TD, and the Cardinals got nothing going on the ground, rushing for only 89 yards.
Marvin Harrison Jr. left the game with a concussion, but he has a chance to return in Week 7. If the rookie pass catcher can’t draw back in the lineup, tight end Trey McBride should soak up targets after grabbing eight balls for 96 yards versus Green Bay.
Arizona vs Los Angeles
Los Angeles is a 2.5-point road favorite on Monday Night Football and the over/under is set at 44.5-points. The Chargers are averaging 18.2 points per game (sixth-worst in the NFL) and only three teams are averaging fewer passing yards (153.2). However, the Bolts are a top-ten rushing team (127.8).
Arizona also has a bottom-ten passing offense (187.0). But, the Cards are averaging 145.2 rushing yards per contest (No. 7 in league), even after last week’s disaster performance.
If Kyler Murray could steal a trait from a current QB what would it be?

Best Bet
Jim Harbaugh’s defense is allowing a league-best 13.2 points per game, limiting opponents to just 192 passing yards (No. 8 in the NFL). With the Cardinals offense in disarray and Justin Herbert getting healthier every week, we like the Chargers to cover (-2.5) on the road in Arizona with the OVER 44.5.
