Herbert on fire
Justin Herbert passed for 297 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 34-27 victory over Cincinnati on Sunday night. The 26-year-old also rushed for 65 yards on 5 carries, reaching 20.5 mph on a 30-yard scramble – the third-fastest speed this season by a QB. The Chargers almost blew a 27-6 halftime lead before J.K. Dobbins scampered for a 29-yard game-winning TD.
Having finally escaped the injury bug, Dobbins has 726 rushing yards and eight rushing scores in 2024. He’ll have a chance to top his career season-best (805 yards) against his former team on Monday.

Lamar gets bottled up
Despite already having two NFL MVP awards, Lamar Jackson can’t shake his “bad in big games” reputation. He completed only 16 of 33 passes for 207 yards, a TD and an INT in a 18-16 loss that dropped him to 2-5 all-time versus Pittsburgh. The good news for the Ravens is that Jackson has been lights out for most of the season with 2,876 passing yards (2nd in NFL) and 25 passing TDs (2nd).
John Harbaugh is 2-0 all-time versus his brother, including a win over Jim’s 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII.
Los Angeles vs Baltimore
Los Angeles is a 3-point home underdog in SoFi Stadium on Monday Night Football. The over/under of 51.5 points is also the highest on the Week 12 slate. Baltimore has the second-highest scoring offense in the NFL (30.4 PPG) and the Chargers are averaging 28.5 points over their past four contests.
The Bolts are limiting opponents to a league-low 14.5 points. While the Ravens defense has struggled all year (24.6 PPG allowed), they kept the Steelers out of the endzone in their loss on Sunday.

Key matchups
Derrick Henry leads a devastating rushing attack averaging 177.3 yards per game (2nd). The Chargers run defense falls just outside the top ten, allowing 110.5 yards per contest.
Baltimore is permitting the most passing yards per game (284.5) in the NFL. Justin Herbert could feast on the Ravens secondary if he’s anywhere near as sharp as he was in the first half (6 of 6 for 123 yards with 2 TDs) against Cincinnati last Sunday.
Best Bet
Pittsburgh just gave Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter the blueprint for stopping Lamar. While that’s easier said that done, LA’s defense is better equipped to get stops than the Ravens struggling D is.
We like Herbert and the Chargers to win outright (+136) with the OVER 51.5, giving Jim his first win over his older brother John.
