- Cincinnati (4-8) is a 5.5-point road favorite over the Dallas Cowboys (5-7) in Week 14
- Joe Burrow’s 3,337 passing yards and 30 passing TDs both lead the NFL
- Monday Night Football kicks off from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX at 8:15 pm ET
Cincinnati’s defense imploded in a 44-38 loss to the division-rival Steelers on Sunday, all but ending any hopes they had of making the playoffs. Joe Burrow’s Bengals now head to Dallas to face a Cowboys team that snapped a six-game home losing streak with a victory over the Giants on Thanksgiving.

Burrow not getting any help
Joe Burrow passed for 309 yards, 3 touchdowns in a Week 13 loss to Pittsburgh. However, he also took four sacks, tossed and interception and lost two fumbles. The Bengals defense let their franchise quarterback down again, allowing the Steelers to score on five consecutive first-half drives.
Cincinnati has now lost four games when scoring 30+ points, which is tied for the most in a single season in NFL history. The Bengals’ lost season is all the more depressing because it’s the last one where Burrow will have both Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Head coach Zac Taylor should be on the hot seat, but the franchise’s notoriously cheap owner Mike Brown likely won’t fire him and eat the salary.

Cowboys win again
Dallas has back-to-back wins over the division-rival Commanders and Giants. Second-year linebacker DeMarvion Overshown was all over the field in the Thanksgiving victory over New York, making a spectacular pick-six in the second quarter before recovering a fumble in the third quarter. Mike Zimmer’s defense sacked Drew Lock six times with Micah Parsons leading the way with 1.5 sacks, four QB hits and six pressures.
The 27-20 win over Big Blue snapped the Cowboys ugly six-game losing skid. Rico Dowdle scored his first rushing TD of the season and became the team’s first back to rush for over 100 yards in 26 games.
Dallas vs Cincinnati
Dallas is a 5.5-point home underdog at AT&T Stadium on Monday Night Football with the over/under set at 49.5 points, the second-highest game total on the Week 14 slate. The Bengals have the NFL’s fifth-highest scoring offense (27.9 PPG). Unfortunately, that’s balanced by a horrific defense that’s allowing the second-most points per game (28.3) in the league.
While Mike Zimmer’s defense has played much better since the return of Micah Parsons, the Cowboys are also permitting 28.3 PPG. Dallas is 31st against the run, allowing 147.6 rushing yards per contest.

Best Bet
Cincinnati is allowing the sixth-most passing yards per game (241.0), but will Cooper Rush be able to take advantage and match points with Joe Burrow? Then again, the Cowboys’ fast-improving defense is coming off 10 days rest and playing at home under the lights.
Five-and-half points is simply too much for a bad team like the Bengals. We’ll take Dallas to cover (+5.5) at home with the UNDER 49.5.
