Dak vs Goff
Dak Prescott overcame his two interceptions and a fumble to lead his Cowboys to a dramatic 20-17 victory over the Steelers on Sunday night. Dallas’ franchise quarterback dived to recover a Rico Dowdle goal-line fumble on the game’s last drive before hitting Jalen Tolbert for a four-yard touchdown on fourth down two plays later. While Prescott has had better games, this was one of the more “clutch” performances of his career.
Before his Week 5 bye, Jared Goff finished a perfect 18-for-18 with 292 yards and two TDs in a 42-29 victory over the Seahawks on Monday Night Football. The entire Lions offense ate well. Jahmyr Gibbs compiled 78 rushing yards and two score, Jameson Williams finished with 80 receiving yards and a TD, and Amon-Ra St. Brown and David Montgomery each found the endzone.
Dak Prescott saves the game, then wins the game, what an up and down wild ride for tonight’s game! #DallasCowboys

Cowboys’ ailing defense
Dallas’ rookie defensive end Marshawn Kneeland exited Sunday’s win over the Steelers, adding to their injury troubles. After losing DE Sam Williams for the season in training camp, the Cowboys star edge rusher Micah Parsons left Week 4 with a high ankle sprain. Veteran Demarcus Lawrence is also on injured reserve with a Lisfranc injury, leaving Mike Zimmer’s defense incredibly vulnerable along the defensive line.
Dallas vs Detroit
Dallas is a 3-point home underdog on Sunday and the over/under of 52.5-points is tied for the highest game total of the week with the Ravens vs Commanders matchup. Detroit’s defense permitted over 500 yards of offense against the Seahawks in Week 4.
Aaron Glenn’s unit is giving up the sixth-most passing yards per game (258.3). That spells bad news against CeeDee Lamb, who made 13 receptions for 227 yards and a TD in their last meeting. However, there is one notable bright spot for the Lions D. Despite playing one fewer game than most of the league, Aidan Hutchison leads the NFL with 6.5 sacks.

Best Bet
The Cowboys rank bottom-ten in rushing yards allowed (135 per game), so expect Dan Campbell to pound the rock with Gibbs and Montgomery. Coming off a week of rest, Detroit should bulldoze Dallas’ undermanned defense.
Take the Lions to cover the -3 point spread with the OVER 52.5.
