- Philadelphia (14-3) is a 4.5-point home favorite over the Green Bay Packers (11-6)
- Saquon Barkley paced the NFL with 2,005 rushing yards this season and 15 total touchdowns
- The Wild Card Weekend matchup kicks off from Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday at 4:30 pm ET on FOX
Both Philadelphia and Green Bay head into their NFC Wild Card showdown with injury concerns. Jalen Hurts started the week in concussion protocol after suffering a head injury in Week 16 and the Packers lost receiver Christian Watson to a torn ACL last Sunday. Jordan Love was also banged up in the season-finale versus Chicago, but is expected to suit up against the Eagles.

Upset alert?
Jordan Love passed for 272 yards and 3 touchdowns to stun the Cowboys 48-32 in the Wild-Card round last year. The 26-year-old quarterback was banged up throughout the season, but passed for a respectable 3,389 yards, 25 TDs and 11 interceptions in 15 starts this season.
Green Bay is a more balanced club this year thanks to Josh Jacobs, who has scored a touchdown in eight-straight games. Jacobs finished the campaign with 1,329 rushing yards and 15 TDs with 342 yards and a score. However, last year’s Packers team headed into the playoffs on a three-game winning streak, while this season’s version has lost their last two contests.
From The Insiders on @nflnetwork: Don’t expect Nick Sirianni to shed much light on Jalen Hurts’ status this week, certainly as long as Hurts remains in the concussion protocol. That’s how the #Eagles coach rolls with most injuries. But Hurts should be good to go. pic.twitter.com/KdgglCE7pL

Will Hurts return?
Philadelphia defeated the Packers 34-29 in the season-opener in Brazil. Nick Sirianni’s team has won 12 of its past 13 contests, but the playing status of Jalen Hurts is an obvious concern. The Eagles dual-threat QB has missed two-straight games after suffering a concussion in a Week 16 loss to Washington.
While he was still in concussion protocol as of Tuesday, Hurts will likely be in the lineup on Sunday. Either way, expect a heavy dose of Saquon Barkley. The soon-to-be-named 2024 Offensive Player of the Year led the NFL with 2,005 rushing yards. He and Hurts combined for 27 rushing TDs, proving to be an unstoppable backfield combo in short yardage.
Philadelphia vs Green Bay
Philadelphia is a 4.5-point home favorite at Lincoln Financial Field, where they are 8-1 this season, and the over/under is set at 45.5 points. Both clubs have top-ten scoring offenses, averaging 27.2 and 27.1 PPG, and each are dominant on the ground. The Eagles rank #2 with 179.3 rushing yards per game and the Packers place #5 with 146.8. However, Kellen Moore has taken the air out of the ball in Philly with 187.9 passing yards per game – fourth-worst in the NFL.
Vic Fangio’s defense is only permitting 17.8 points per game (#2), versus 19.9 PPG for Green Bay (#6). Both units are top-ten against the run, and the Eagles are #1 against the pass, limiting opponents to 174.2 passing yards per contest.

Best Bet
Given that both teams have strong run defenses, we think this one will be much lower scoring than their 63-point shootout in the season opener. We like the UNDER 45.5 and a Packers cover (+4.5), but expect the Eagles (-225) to prevail in a tight-scoring game.
