Kansas City is now 10-0 in one-score games this season after banking a game-winning field goal off the post and in for a 19-17 comeback win over the Chargers on Sunday night. With the No. 1 seed in the AFC all but locked up thanks to Buffalo’s loss to the Rams, the Chiefs will head to Cleveland for a matchup with Jameis Winston and the lowly Browns.

KC squeaks another one out
Patrick Mahomes passed for just 210 yards and a touchdown in a 19-17 victory over the Chargers while incurring three sacks and seven hits. New addition D.J. Humphries was expected to shore up the left side, but he allowed two sacks and eight pressures before leaving injured. All and all, No. 15 was pressured on 38.1% of his dropbacks on Sunday night. And yet, Kansas City still won their 15th straight one-possession game.
Isiah Pacheco carried the ball for 14 times for 55 yards in his second game since returning from injury. Despite adding DeAndre Hopkins at the trade deadline, the Chiefs offense still looks stagnant and lifeless as they head towards the postseason.

Browns lose rematch
Cleveland allowed 24-straight points in a 27-14 loss to the Steelers on Sunday. After leading his team to an upset victory over Pittsburgh two weeks ago, Jameis Winston couldn’t manage the same heroics in Week 14, passing for 212 yards, 2 TDs and 2 INTs while incurring 16 QB pressures and three sacks.
Still, Winston continues to breathe life into a Browns offense that was dead and buried with Deshaun Watson. Just one week after putting up 235 receiving yards and a score, Jerry Jeudy made five receptions for 64 yards and a TD. David Njoku also found the endzone for the third time in two contests.
Cleveland vs Kansas City
Cleveland is a 5.5-point home underdog at Huntington Bank Field and the over/under is set at 45 points. The Browns have the fourth-worst scoring offense in the NFL (17.8 PPG) but Jameis Winston has put 24+ points on the board in half of his six starts. He should also have time in the pocket versus the Chiefs’ defense, which only pressured Justin Herbert on five of 26 dropbacks on Sunday.
Kansas City has allowed their opponent to rally from a double-digit second-half deficit in three consecutive weeks. That might rear its ugly head again on Sunday against a gunslinger like Jameis. Myles Garrett’s 11 sacks ranks just behind Trey Hendrickson (11.5). The reigning Defensive Player of the Year could weak havoc against KC’s offensive line.

Best Bet
Kansas City never covers, so we’re definitely taking the Browns (+5.5) with the OVER 45. An upset Cleveland victory (+215) isn’t even out of the question.
