Mahomes opens as the favorite
Patrick Mahomes (+600) is coming off his worst statistical season since 2019, passing for only 4,019 yards and 27 touchdowns with a career-high 14 interceptions. On the other hand, he also collected his third Super Bowl and third Super Bowl MVP.
Hollywood Brown’s arrival has renewed hopes that the Chiefs star will start airing it out again, however, Travis Kelce’s advancing age and Rashee Rice’s legal troubles could lead to another disappointing regular season for Andy Reid’s offense.
Patrick Mahomes is going viral as fans claim he is “severely out of shape” after returning from the offseason.

Top MVP contenders
Josh Allen (+800) will be throwing to rag-tag bunch of receivers following the departure of Stefon Diggs. Since 2001, every NFL MVP winner was on a team with at least 11 wins. If Allen can carry the Bills to that mark, he could win his first career MVP.
CJ Stroud (+900) is looking to follow up his Offensive Rookie of the Year performance with a MVP sophomore year. With Diggs, Nico Collins and Tank Dell, the Texans’ starter has the most talented group of pass catchers in the league.
Rebound seasons in store?
Joe Burrow (+1200) is on the comeback trail following a miserable campaign where he nursed a calf injury and suffered a season-ending ligament tear in his right wrist. With Tee Higgins complementing Ja’Marr Chase for one more year, the No. 1 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft has the weapons he needs to get back on track.
Jalen Hurts (+1400) stayed healthy in 2023, but Philadelphia lost six of its last seven games. Can new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore help revive an Eagles offense that added Saquon Barkley in the offseason?

Best Longshots
Anthony Richardson (+2500) will almost certainly break fantasy football if he stays healthy in 2024. Coming off a season-ending shoulder surgery, the 22-year-old will be the center piece of Shane Steichen’s high-powered Colts attack.
Kyler Murray (+3300) is a MVP longshot because his team’s over-under is set at only 6.5 wins. But, there’s reason for optimism in the desert. The offense looked spicy in Drew Petzing’s first year as OC, Arizona drafted potential phenom Marvin Harrison Jr., and Kyler will have his wheels back with his knee injury further in the rear view.
Best Bet
Jordan Love (+1200) ranked first in total TDs (20) and total passing yards (2,150) from week 11 onwards. With a stacked WR room and offensive guru Matt Lafleur calling the plays, Love will follow in Aaron Rodgers’ and Brett Favre’s footsteps by producing the Packers’ seventh MVP season in the past 30 years.
