Detroit survives a scare
Detroit squeaked by the Bears 23-20 in Week 13, securing their first Thanksgiving victory in seven years. Dan Campbell’s team is a on a 10-game winning streak, but their offense disappeared down the stretch versus Chicago. Their defense also allowed 20 second-half points after allowing none since Week 9.
Three more defensive starters went down for the Lions on Turkey Day – Mekhi Wingo (knee) Josh Paschal (knee) and Levi Onwuzurike. Aaron Glenn’s unit was already missing Aidan Hutchinson, Marcus Davenport and Alex Anzalone as injuries continue to pile up.

Packers pound Dolphins
Jordan Love passed for 274 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 30-17 win over Miami on Thanksgiving night. It was his second consecutive game without an interception after tossing at least one in his first eight games of the year. Josh Jacobs added 117 combined yards and a score – his fifth straight game with 100-plus scrimmage yards.
Green Bay is on a three-game winning streak and hasn’t allowed an opponent to score 20 points since its bye. Trailing the Lions by two games in the NFC North, the Packers need this one to have any shot at heir first NFC North title since 2021.

Detroit is a 3.5-point home favorite at Ford Field and the over/under of 51 points is the highest game total on the Week 14 slate. The Lions have the top scoring offense in the NFL, putting up 31.9 points per game. Green Bay averages 26.5 PPG (8th), and both squads have top-ten passing offenses.
This NFC North battle also a matchup of two of the league’s top-5 rushing attacks. Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery combined for 175 rushing yards against Chicago. However, Detroit failed to score a rushing TD for the first time in 26 games. Meanwhile, Jacobs’ 1,247 rushing yards for the Packers puts him 3rd in the NFL, trailing only Saquon Barkley (1,499) and Derrick Henry (1,407).
