Backfield takeover?
Mike McDonald’s defense picked off Kyler Murray on back-to-back first-quarter passes, helping the Seahawks cruise to a 30-18 win on Sunday. With Kenneth Walker III out with a calf injury, Zach Charbonnet ran for 134 yards and 2 touchdowns with an additional 59 yards through the air.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba added five receptions for 82 yards and a score, outpacing DK Metcalf (4/49) once again. After five losses in six weeks before the bye, Seattle has now won four in a row. At 8-5, they lead the NFC West by one game over the Rams.

Love loss
Jordan Love led four second-half scoring drives to erase a 10-point halftime deficit to Detroit. But Green Bay’s defense couldn’t find their way off the field in the 34-31 loss, letting the Lions convert four out of the five fourth-down attempts.
While Matt LaFleur’s team will have to carve their path to the Super Bowl on the road, they look like a contender. The Packers’ four losses have come against three very good teams: Detroit (12-1) twice, Minnesota (11-2) and Philadelphia (11-2).
Seattle vs Green Bay
Seattle is a 3-point home underdog at Lumen Field, where they are 3-4 this season, and the over/under is set at 45.5 points. Green Bay is #7 in scoring offense (26.8 PPG) and #9 in scoring defense (21.1 PPG allowed). The Seahawks rank #15 (23.2 PPG) and #11 (21.8 PPG allowed) in those same categories.
Mike McDonald’s defense has only permitted 15.5 PPG in four games since the bye – #1 in the NFL over that span. However, their improved run defense will be tested against Josh Jacobs, who’s coming off a 66-yard, 3-TD performance.

Best Bet
Calling this one a “potential playoff preview” is no stretch. If the postseason started today, the No. 3 seed Seahawks would host the No. 6 seed Packers on Super Wild Card Weekend.
Green Bay has the rest advantage, but Mike McDonald’s defense only allowed 6 points the last time they played in front of the 12s on their home field. We’ll take Seattle to cover (+3) with the UNDER 45.5.
