Pittsburgh atop AFC North

Russell Wilson is coming off his worse performance as a Steelers starter, passing for 205 yards and an interception against Baltimore. The 35-year-old completed just 2 of 9 attempts for 7 yards and a pick in the red zone. Luckily, Chris Boswell was on target all afternoon, draining six field goals in a 18-16 win over the Ravens.

Pittsburgh’s defense held MVP frontrunner Lamar Jackson in check all afternoon. They forced a Derrick Henry fumble and linebacker Payton Wilson made the interception of the year, prying the ball away from Justice Hill in the fourth quarter. At 8-2, Mike Tomlin’s team is in control of the AFC North, with the Ravens at 7-4.

Browns down bad

Cleveland’s defense has cratered after a strong 2023 season. On Sunday, they allowed the Saints to rack up 473 yards of offense in a 35-14 defeat. Taysom Hill ran for 138 yards and three touchdowns, and Derek Carr led-three-straight TD drives in the fourth quarter.

Jameis Winston passed for an impressive 395 yards and two scores in the loss, connecting with Jerry Jeudy for six receptions, 142 yards and a TD.

Cleveland vs Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh is a 3.5-point road favorite at Huntington Bank Field and the over/under set at just 38-points. The over-under seems a tad low given the Steelers are middle of the pack in scoring offense (23.3 PPG). Cleveland’s attack has also been reborn after subbing out Deshaun Watson for Jameis Winston.

Arthur Smith presides over a top-ten running game (136.7 YPG). Najee Harris could feast against a Jim Schwartz defense that allowed 214 rushing yards to the Saints. George Pickens is averaging over 90 receiving yards in four games since Wilson took over at QB with two scores.

Best Bet

With the 8-2 Steelers only favored by 3.5 points over a miserable Browns team, oddsmakers seem to be banking on a letdown performance from Mike Tomlin’s team after their big AFC North win.

However, Cleveland’s defense has completely fallen apart. We’ll take Pittsburgh to cover (-3.5) with the OVER 38 points.
