Super Bowl 2025 Favorites

To pick an outright Super Bowl favorite is difficult. But, the bookmakers’ odds will certainly give you a good idea as to who it might be. Who’s favored in the Super Bowl is dependent on league form and the potential of the team, which is assessed by bookmakers before and during the season. In terms of who is the favorite in the Super Bowl right now,  it’s going to be the San Francisco 49ers. But the Super Bowl favorites change all the time, so stay tuned!

  • Kansas City Chiefs (+500)

The Chiefs looked unstoppable in recent years. But things slipped a couple of seasons ago, especially after losing out to Tom Brady and his Buccaneers a couple of years back. Now that they clinched the 2023 title, we appreciate that this is a team that is always capable of clinching a title.

  • San Francisco 49ers (+650)

The San Francisco 49ers were not one of those teams you expected to compete with the top teams this season. But, a string of consistent performances at the start of the season gave them the confidence they needed, and the results have continued to flow since then.

AFC favorites to win the Super Bowl

The Kansas City Chiefs won the AFC title 2024.

NFC favorites to win the Super Bowl

The NFC Conference title was won by the San Francisco 49ers.

Who’s going to the Super Bowl?

The Eagles and the Chiefs, have been the standout teams, and we didn’t expect anything less than one of those two to clinch Super Bowl 57. But, things rarely work as you’d expect in the NFL. There is a lot of quality in the league this season, and we had our eyes on teams like the Eagles, Cowboys, and 49ers who fell off in the postseason.

Kansas and Philadelphia both have solid teams, and the momentum is definitely with them now. The Super Bowl is just a few weeks away. Sport, especially the NFL, is about belief and understanding how much you can push yourself and your team. From a betting perspective, these teams are certainly fairly even, but it’s the Eagles that have blown their opponents out of the water in the postseason and look clear favorites.

Odds for Different Super Bowl Bets

Super Bowl betting comes with lots of different bets, and we should know how to read a variety of Super Bowl odds. Whether we are looking at odds tow in the Super Bowl outright, finding the odds for the Super Bowl spread, or any number of other bet types available during the final match.

Let’s look at some of the most common and fun Super Bowl Vegas odds for different bet types.

Odds to Win the Super Bowl

The odds to win the Super Bowl outright are the simplest and most common of all. You are simply betting on the winner, and that’s it. These are also known as single, moneyline, or straight bets. In American odds, the lower the number, the more likely the team is to win.

Of course, the second you combine this type of bet with another bet, you can set up a parlay, accumulator, or multiple bet. Here your odds will get slimmer, but your profits will skyrocket if you manage to pull it off. Remember, in these circumstances, all bets on your bet slip have to come out your way, otherwise you lose the whole thing.

Super Bowl Betting Lines

When looking at the odds for Super Bowl betting lines, you might be struck by something: they will always be nearly evenly matched. That’s because the sportsbooks engage in handicapping to make the odds to win the Super Bowl bet even. They do this by adding points and saying that the favorite has to win by, say, 7.5 points, in order for them to be considered a winner for this type of wager.

Super Bowl Spread

When looking at Super Bowl spread odds, keep in mind exactly what you are betting on. The sportsbooks normally do a pretty good job of handicapping these to make them less than obvious.

You are betting on the total number of points scored between the two teams. So let’s say the Kansas City Chiefs go up against the Green Bay Packers. The sportsbook may offer a spread of 42.5. You would then bet on if the total number of points is more or less than that. Given the focus on offense amongst these two teams, I would go with over in this case.

Super Bowl Prop Betting Lines

Looking at odds for Super Bowl prop betting can be quite strange. It is very hard to predict the outcome of events that are not related to the outcome of the game. For example, will the coin toss land on heads (+105) or tails (+105)? Well, there really is no educated guess or pick for these Super Bowl prop odds.

Other odds for Super Bowl prop bets are more navigable. For example, if the longest touchdown will be run in or thrown in. This is an example of something you can research and make an educated bet on.

Super Bowl Futures

Vegas odds for Super Bowl futures will change over time. Right when Super Bowl LV ends, you will find future odds for Super Bowl LVI. The earlier you get your bet in, the more money you are likely to make. That is because odds for futures bets calculate the risk inherent in the passing of time between the event and the bet.

For example, the Chief’s odds to win Super Bowl LV have gone from +700 to +200.

How to read Super Bowl odds

Super Bowl odds will be displayed in American format, one of three odds formats (including Decimal and Fractional). You will always see the American format on our top-tier provider’s list and the bookmakers we recommend on this page.

You can easily recognize American odds by the plus (+) and minus (-) signs displayed next to the numbers. That may seem unclear, so let’s use an example to make things more transparent. If we use a potential Super Bowl matchup between The Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills, you might see odds displayed like this:

  • Kansas City Chiefs (-200) vs Buffalo Bills (+170)

In this example, you can see that the chiefs are the favorite over the Bills, although it is relatively close. Let’s use a bet to make things even more straightforward. If you put $100 on the Bills, you will win $170, which is a reasonably good return. However, if you wager $100 on the Chiefs at -200, you will win $150. So, although one is the favorite, the odds are, in fact, fairly even.

With all this information, you are more than ready to get started at a trusted online sportsbook.
