Boston Bruins

The Bruins are 4-5-1 in their previous ten matches and on a losing skid of three. Boston has averaged 2.6 goals per game and given up an average of three goals per game.

Any hope that the midseason break might bring a change in fortune for Joe Sacco’s struggling team was soon dashed. In their first match back, the Bruins lost 3-2 against the Ducks at TD Garden, Leo Carlsson scored at 3:39 of overtime to give Anaheim the win on Saturday.

The Bruins were 2-0 down at the end of the first period. Goals from Elias Lindholm in the second and Morgan Geekie in the third saw them fight back to take the match to overtime. Sadly for Joe Sacco and his team, the Bruins couldn’t convert their excellent fightback into a win.

This latest setback for the Bruins leaves them in sixth place in the Atlantic Division. They are an unlikely +20000 to win the regular season. Boston is +3000 to win the Eastern Conference and +6000 to win the Stanley Cup.

Following the match with Toronto, the Bruins will host the Islanders on Thursday.

Toronto Maple Leafs

The Toronto Maple Leafs are 6-4-0 in their last ten matches, and on a winning streak of two. Toronto has averaged 3.3 goals per match over the ten fixtures and conceded an average of 2.5.

The two wins in Toronto’s streak have come since the NHL resumed at the weekend. The Maple Leafs started with a 6-3 home victory over the Hurricanes on Saturday and backed that up with a 5-2 win away at the Blackhawks on Sunday.

After reclaiming the top spot in the points table and running into better form, the Maple Leafs are also the betting favorites to win the Atlantic Division at +100.

The Florida Panthers are now out at +150. But also worth noting is the form of the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Jon Cooper’s team is on a five-match winning streak and is now only four points behind Toronto having played one match less than the table-toppers. As a result, Tampa Bay has been cut to +425 to win the Atlantic Division.

Toronto is the +450 joint-favorite to win the Eastern Conference and also the +900 joint-fourth favorite to win the 2025 Stanley Cup.

Bruins vs.Maple Leafs Betting Picks and Predictions

The Bruins are 18-9-4 at home, and the Maple Leafs are 15-9-2 on the road.

Toronto is flying at the moment. They’ve hammered the Hurricanes and the Blackhawks over the weekend, and although the Bruins have only lost their last three by the odd goal, we say it’s worth backing the Maple Leafs on the puck line for the better odds.

Our betting pick is Toronto to win and cover the spread.
