Donald Trump Favored in 2024 Presidential Election in ‘Blue Wall’ Swing States

  • The 2024 presidential election takes place on November 5
  • The “blue wall” swing states of Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin are in play in 2024
  • MI, PA, and WI went to the Democratic party in 2020

The race to become the next President of the United States is in full swing. This year, the Democrats pit current Vice President Kamala Harris against former President Donald Trump, representing the Republicans. Trump won the 2016 Presidential election with 304 votes from the Electoral College. Forty-six of those electoral college votes came from the so-called “blue wall” states of Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. In 2020, Joe Biden earned 306 Electoral College votes to Trump’s 232 to put the White House back in the Democrats’ control. Biden took back those three states, but each state was very closely contested. Those three states remain in play for the 2024 presidential election.

The “blue wall” states are the 18 states, plus the District of Columbia, that had gone to the Democrats in every presidential election between 1992 and 2012.

Before we look at the betting odds, picks, and predictions for the three most important “blue wall” swing states for the 2024 presidential election, here’s where you can find the best 2024 Political Betting Sites and view all our latest Politics betting picks.

Wisconsin Electoral College betting breakdown

Wisconsin went for Trump over Clinton in 2016 with the votes shaking out at 1,405,284 vs. 1,382,536. In 2020, Biden edged Trump 1,630,866 to 1,610,184. Of the three states in the “blue wall” we are looking at here, Wisconsin has had the closest voting margins. While the state went overwhelmingly for Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012, the elections the Dems won in 2000, 2004 and 2020 saw the Democratic candidate earn less than 50 percent of the popular vote. In 2016, Trump’s advantage was also slight, 47.2 percent to 46.5 percent.

Trump is the betting favorite in Wisconsin.

The top issues for Wisconsin voters are: Crime, social security, health care, unemployment, and the economy.

The betting pick is Donald Trump to win Wisconsin.
