Fox Bet Sportsbook Review
There may not be a betting service in the United States more experimental than Fox Bet sportsbook.
Fox Bet is the brainchild of Fox Sports and Flutter Entertainment. Together, they have formed a partnership that is the first of its kind—a major broadcast network teaming up with a gambling company. Launched in January 2021, Fox Bet sports betting has resulted in everything from branded on-air segments aimed at racking up new users to a specialized database of statistics.
Fox Bet is nowhere near the size of many of its competitors, such as FanDuel, DraftKings and Caesars. But it is also available in far fewer states and, by design, not aimed to be for mass consumption.
Instead, Fox Sports and Flutter Entertainment are trying to see whether they’ve executed a project that can be run on a larger scale. The jury is still out on whether this will become more common. Fox Bet sportsbook does report having over 5 million regular users.
States Where Fox Bet Sportsbook Offers Retail Betting
As of November 2024, FoxBet has ceased its operations in the United States. Previously, it offered mobile sports betting in Colorado, Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. However, in July 2023, Fox Corporation and Flutter Entertainment announced the phased closure of FoxBet, which concluded by August 31, 2023.
Fox Bet Sportsbook Features
At the Fox Bet sportsbook, you will find lines for all of the most well-known sports and events. But unlike many of the best online sportsbooks, Fox Bet tends to focus their lines on leagues and events to which they have the broadcast rights. You can find a full list of all the sports Fox Bet allows you to wager on below:
- NFL Betting
- College Football
- NBA Betting
- College Basketball
- NHL Betting
- MLB Betting
- Golf
- NASCAR/Other Motorsports
- Soccer
The user interface on Fox Bet sportsbook is pretty comprehensive. They use a unique blue, yellow and white color scheme to make the playout really pop, and the page navigation buttons are both oversized and in big font. It renders going from sport to sport a cinch.
Fox Bet has also done a nice job streamlining their wager slip. There are separate tabs at the top that project your payout based on whether you want to make a single bet, if-then wager or parlay.
Finally, the live betting features on Fox Bet are pretty extensive. Specifically, they offer an array of football props for individual games that are right in line with the best NFL betting sites. They are also easily one of the most complete North American betting sites for NASCAR racing, in no small part because their primary and sister networks air so many of those competitions throughout the season.
Fox Bet Mobile Betting
For a sportsbook only available in four of the 50 states right now, the Fox Bet mobile betting app has a ton of positive reviews. They currently have a 4.6 or better average rating out of hundreds of thousands of reviews in both the Apple and Android app stores.
Much like the desktop site, the Fox Bet mobile sportsbook is easy enough to navigate. They maintain the same blue, yellow and white color scheme, and their order of operations on transactions is on the shorter side, ensuring you don’t have to spend too much time processing anything.
The Fox Bet mobile app also runs special promotions for new and old users who specifically use it. These bonuses are usually built around red-carpet events, but they do run weekly NFL promotions throughout the regular season and playoffs.
Fox Bet Customer Service
Although Fox Bet offers the same customer service amenities as many other sportsbooks—an FAQ section, email forms, a hot line and live chats—we find the experience to be on the lighter side. There are reports that their wait times on inquiries are on the longer side, perhaps because they are a smaller-scale and experimental sportsbook only operational in four of the 50 states.
